Specifically, what is Corbec wearing? I can't find a point of reference for why he has a giant floatation device around his neck (or more specifically, what colour it is).
I've only read two books, so if this is referencing something that happens in book #3 colour me unsurprised and apologetic.
Likewise if there's no explanation, fairynuff.



I'm also curious why he hasn't got a knife, whereas the accompanying Gaunt does. Did he leave it in someone? Does it not go with his fetching live preserver? Did the sculptor simply forget it?

The only painted example seems to show it's perhaps part of his cloak, but the standard GW version doesn't include it:

Eh, Gaunt is okay. I like this version better than the screaming, lady-boots wearing one that comes in the set of six.
Just don't view this one from the front as he's staring madly into his own eyeballs.
