Over the past few months I've listened to my brother and our friend talk about their Horus Heresy armies, and last Friday I played my first game of 40K in YEARS. Maybe over 10 years. Anyways, I used my friend's Iron Warriors vs. his Mechanicum troops. I had a great time, so much so that in the next couple of weeks I will be assembling and painting about 1000 points of Death Guards (goal is 1500 points).

It's probably been 4 or 5 years since I last played a tabletop mini game, most likely it was Malifaux. Playing again last Friday reminded me how much I enjoyed the hobby aspect of these games: the assembly, the painting, the detailing... I'm looking forward to getting back into it. I have a long history of miniature gaming behind me, starting with probably Chainmail in the early 90's and moving into Necromunda, Epic, WHFB/WH40K, Warmachine, Hordes, Malifaux, etc. not to mention all manner of board games as well. I'm looking forward to sharing pics of my painted minis and battle reports of my victories
