40K Campaign - Orks vs. Eldar, Tyranids, Space Marines, Necrons

Hi everyone,

We're going to be starting a 40K Campaign playing against 4 friends -- expecting that they'll be playing Eldar, Tyranids, Space Marines and Necrons. We'll be playing Orks.

Wondering if anyone has any advice from campaigns they've played in about how best to go about this?

The rules our 'game-master' has come up with allow each of us to use 275 points to create a Supreme Warlord + Bodyguards.

We are planning to use twin Warbosses "Fork and Spork" -- and going to try to run one with main Ork Codex formation; other with formations from the Ghazghkull supplement.

(Here is a brief write-up on things so far. Don't yet know how everyone will deploy.)
http://battlegaming1.blogspot.com/2015/05/40k-campaign-beginning-incoming-message.html

[Especially worried about how to deal with the Eldar -- any thoughts on that?]

Thanks

40K Campaign - Orks vs. Eldar, Tyranids, Space Marines, Necrons

Okay, just a tiny bit of tactica before I start my Spanish final.

So against Tau, av14 is hard for them to break turn 1. Make sure you have and use bw's. Keep in mind turn 2+ armor isn't a problem for tau so expect them to be fragged then. Also, completely destroy units before moving on with them. Lootas have longer range but need a kff with them or they will not have saves as cover is ignored. Mega nobs in 3s will wipe full units of tau if they have a warboss in mega armor with da lukky stikk leading. Storm boys or regular boys hold riptides indefinitely. Tie them up. Never charge a center unit. Always flank. Center units will destroy you with their overlapping Overwatch rules!

Against Tyrannid, I like Flashgitz. S5 weapons 30 shots and 50% of the time they don't get saves. Helps take out big bugs. Even when they charge they are s5 with 40attacks. Lootas are okay too but never cut bug armor... Which hurts their damage a lot. Boys are great in large mobs for killing anything in their codex. I stay away from mega nobs here because they aren't points efficient if you get in a group then a big bug runs in and stomps you. Biker boys with a painboy and warboss worth Blitzbike are good as a shooting platform, don't get your bikes in melee with them against tyrranid.

Treat SM and Necron the same. Take lots of AP2/3 and hit them with it hard. Mek gun option, Kustom mega kannon as many as you can. Mega nobs in 3s with killsaws, in bws with boarding planks +1-4rokkits with or without a killkannon. If you run them like that warboss with mega armor and da lukky stikk, or mad doc ate great with these guys. Hit non melee units that don't have AP 2 weapons. Flashgitz also make their points back against SM pretty well from the inside of another bw worth 1-4 rokkits +killkannon. Lootas never cut SM armor so I don't recommend them. Flyers? Go with Blitza bomba. They cut armor 2 with large blast! And don't forget Tankbustas cut through armor 3. Take all the Tankbustas! Yes you could take lootas against Necron warriors, but flashgitz are just better imho.

Eldar... Sigh...umm...scream Waaaaagghh! Then flip the table and run? Or is he not spamming scat bikes? If he's not, shoot his psychers first. Use Lobbas and blitzabomas to snipe them. Less powers helps a lot. After that remember swarm and spread are your friend but you can't take vehicles... Sounds hard right? Take Warbikers and 30 man mobs. Tankbustas will need a kff to survive to kill any vehicle spam they might do.

Good luck buddy.
