I plan on buying a chrome paint and a black oil based paint to weather the models or maybe a black wash. So, what do you think is a good chrome and black paint to weather the models would a wash be better than oil paints? What do you think? thanks!

P.S. - I plan on thinning an oil paint because I saw a trick where someone brushed on a black oil paint then rubbed off as much as he could and it looked amazing.
