Hobbyists Charity. Choose the Charity!

Okay folks, let get some suggestions for charities to donate money to. The first thing we need is a cause!

I will start the list with my suggestion.

Ronald McDonald House. For those who don't know this group provides temporary homes for families who are dealing with a seriously ill child who require relocation to ensure their child is near their hospital. Its a reputable organization and they have my vote because the Charity helps families and it can be very local. There have been Ronnie Houses in every city I've lived in throughout my life and chances are there is one near you too.

Come on folks! Let's hear some of some good charities so we can compile a list and make a poll.

My fiance worked in a Cystic Fibrosis clinic, and man is that a tragic disease, especially since most patients are children who don't live past their 20's. I just reached out to her for CF charity suggestions and will update this post with a reputable organization, but my vote goes for supporting a CF charity.

*edit*
The CF Foundation was recommended to me.

http://www.cff.org/

I used to donate to a local free health clinic in my locale. It felt like a good way to use my money to help provide a needed serivce to my immediate community.

TBH, I don't know whether the ACA has made free health clinics irrelevant now, or what the story is on that.
