mainly for aesthetic purposes for both armies, Im really into my painting and am slowly and steadily working my way forwards... I tend to get sidetracked an awful lot on adding details and extras even after painting them... Sniper scopes for lasguns... rebasing everything that kind of thing

Nothing wrong with adding/changing stuff on your minis. There yours and, if you can think of something that will make them look better, then it's all good.
