Magnetising Trays & Miniatures

Thinking to start a big project to magnetize all my trays and miniatures(100+ trays).I have no experience doing this but after some search on the internet
i found this stuff http://www.first4magnets.com/tape-strip-magnets-c85/19mm-wide-x-1-5mm-thick-magnetic-tape-with-premium-self-adhesive-p3526

I wonder how well will hold my miniatures attached to trays.I was thinking to apply it both in miniatures and to trays since its self mating. Will it work?
The other option is to stick Steel Tape with Premium Self Adhesive to the trays but the cost is getting too high for me:( http://www.first4magnets.com/tape-strip-magnets-c85/19mm-x-0-4mm-wide-gloss-white-steel-tape-with-premium-self-adhesive-p3837

Anyone used these products before?Any feedback is welcome and sorry for my bad english

p.s I just have plastic miniatures and dont care for transporting them just sticking well to the movement trays.

The issue with stuff like that is it the models wont line up properly. Im not really sure how to explain it but when you put say 20 models down they will "stick" better in certain spots than others.

You are far better off going with something like this for the tray itself- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Iron-Rubber-Sheets-for-Warhammer-Movement-Trays-6-Six-Sheets-A4-Size-/251495516985?hash=item3a8e4d0b39

And then these for the models- http://www.ebay.com/itm/50Pcs-Strong-N35-Neodymium-Magnets-Rare-Earth-Round-Disc-Fridge-Craft-4x2mm-/121392385057?hash=item1c438ccc21

One for infantry 2 for cav works unless its a solid pewter mini then you may want a slightly larger one or just multiple magnets.

Also you can find all that stuff for significantly cheaper on other sites if you look a little.

The rubber is impregnated with magnetic (rare earth) metals. It is done randomly and thus polarity shifts and changes throughout the rubber. By putting magnetic rubber into both the tray and the model, you encounter areas where the poles are attractive and other areas where they repel. As xevv said, your models will shift on the tray and be difficult or impossible to rank up nicely. The solution is to only have one thing (the tray or the figures) actually contain the magnetic material.
