Neon Tau, looking for ideas/advice

With the new Tau stuff coming out I figured it would be about time I actually got around to painting a few Tau models I had here.
It's not a new idea by any means but I wanted to paint the models with a kind of neon or bright color in the groves of the armor, guns etc
It's mostly experimenting so far but I'm just looking for any ideas for things like helping making the red stand out and possibly any other thoughts or advice.
Cheers

For my army, which ironically uses the same color scheme, I base in black/dark gray lightly, paint the groves in red, paint the main black color, then retouch the red groves so they stand out more. A good red wash like paint may do you well by using some paper towel to control where it goes and clean up the black afterwards.
