Mechanicus / Mechanicum Apoc army (questions)

At my FLGS, we have a few house rules:

- No super-heavies allowed unless the game is set at 2,000pts per person, or 3,000pts per side (2v2 games)
- No Forge World units unless you have the rules on hand.
- Horus Heresy units and armies are only allowed in Apocalypse-level games, and only if you have the rules on hand.
- Manticores can fire all four rockets if you roll a triple 6 at the start of the Shooting Phase (completely irrelevant here, but I find it amusing... and painful. It's happened once..... so much pain...)

I wanted to mention these first. That way, once you read what I'm about to ask about, nobody goes yelling at my and calling me TFG. This has been agreed on and allowed by all relevant parties at my FLGS.

Anyways...

Lately, I have been getting more and more interested in the Skitarii and Cult Mechanicus codices. I find them enjoyable to play, especially when they're teamed up with either mine or my buddy's Imperial Guard. Add the fact that the rules go well with my own army's fluff, it's just a win-win for me. But now I want to expand a little more.

My friends and I have a campaign coming up. And to add to the shenanigans that is my army, the Autumnos Coalition, I'm looking to build up a HH Mechanicum army to go with my Mechanicus army. But before I go spending Emperor knows how many hundreds of dollars on new models, I want to know a little more about the Mechanicum first.

- What are they like? What kind of play-style do they typically go for?
- What does a typical Mechanicum army look like? Let's say, 3,000pts.
- Are there any models for them that are an absolute must-buy, or is it pretty much just at my own discretion?
- I was told Mechanicum has three separate armies. Ordo Reductor, Cybernetica, and I forget the third. Can someone explain what they are and the differences between them, if any?
- Like I said, I'm using them alongside my Mechanicus/Skitarii for the sake of the campaign going on. Removing any Allied chart rules, Warlord traits, Formations, etc., would these 40k armies work well with this HH army? I know 40k fluff-wise, they probably would. And my armies fluff, I believe they would. What are your opinions?

Any other info you are willing to share would be great as well.

Thanks in advance, guys!
