Armies similar to Necrons, in terms of what comes in the box?

Im looking to start a second army after building up and painting roughly 2000 points of Necrons. The reason I chose Necrons in the first place is that when you buy them its pretty much what you see is what you get in the box. I originally started with Space Wolves but gave up after realizing to make any good army list i would have to buy all sorts of random Space Marine boxes and bits to get what I need. Which is a crazy waste of money.

So are there any other armies out there that are similar to Necrons in terms of what you see is what you get? Obviously all Space Marine chapters are excluded, though Im not too interested in them anyways. Thanks!

Tyranids. The box gives you exactly what you need to build what you see. The only thing that isn't included is two sets of Devourer arms for a Dakkafex, but since Scything Talons don't count as anything anymore on an MC, it's fine to leave them on in all but the strictest environments. Other than that, you will almost always have spare parts from builds you didn't want to do in the boxes you get.

Add-on: even the Relics are just basic weapon versions named something else. A Sword and Whip, which you'll have. A Venom Cannon, which you'll have. I don't think I've gotten my hands on the Maw Claws but I don't really care. I never used them anyway. I think they might be a piece in the Tervigon Tyrannofex box, for the version I've seen, but I don't know for sure.

I will confirm daemons are a good choice for this angle. Most of their gear does not have to be represented on the model.

I wouldn't suggest nids, as your flying give tyrant does not come with twin link devourers

I definitely wouldn't suggest eldar since their bikes need millions of scatter lasers.

Yeah, I'd say daemons are the best choice for wysiwyg

Ork kits are fairly self contained as in giving you everything you need. Some of the vehicle kits like the Battlewagon and Killa Kans lack all the options (battlewagon has an upgrade sprue, killa kanz not so much but at least 3 kans are fairly cheap in dollars). Orks also have the greatest potential to do conversions and "count as" so its not as problematic for Ork players to find ways to get what they want out of their bits and kits. Ork players tend to end up with a lot of extra bits but for the most part Orks have incredibly cost effective means to make their units.

I would recommend either Jetbike Eldar or Tau.

Each Eldar Jetbike Sprue is basically self contained and the Farseer/Warlock on Bike sprue is too. You don't need much more beyond that to make a decent starter army and most eldar vehicles come with all of their options. You generally won't need infantry beyond Wraith units, as your jetbikes are superior to them. Wraith units also come with all their options.

Tau Battlesuits come with all the pieces needed and you can customize one of them to be your commander instead of buying the more expensive commander set. You can run a pure-battlesuit army with the Farsight supplement I believe. If not, the basic Fire Warrior box has been updated with all the necessary parts anyways.
