I'd want a couple of librarians at least to have some psychic shenannigans of your own, and it will give you a bit of protection against Tau if you draw them, as they can ignore your buffed jink and you may take a lot of damage to your bike units before you really do much. Your command squad won't stand up very well against Thunderwolfstar in close combat either, unless you can hold them up with a unit and bring your knight in. <br /> <br /> You army looks great <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>btw</span>. 				<description><![CDATA[ I like the first list better. Your librarius conclave is going to have a hard time stopping deamons or eldar seer council with 20+ warp charge vs your 7. But the assassin on the other hand, with The right placement, can stop any psykers. <br /> <br /> Also on that first list, I'd take out the expensive mace of redemption, it's nice against regular marines, but costs way to much for my taste. With the points you save you could buy a combi-grav for your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span> srgt, and a few more other things. Firing two grav guns and a combi-grav can kill a riptide in one turn if he didn't boost his shields. ]]></description>

I still can't decide between the two lists and I think I'll need to do some playtesting as well as real research on what's popular.<br /> <br /> Yes, I've removed THE MACE in favor of that Furious Charge Legacy of Glory.  I'll consider some combi-grav if any more points open up.<br /> <br /> Also, after reading the draft mission packet with its buffs to armies without a Lord of War, I'm considering replacing the Knight, but what could I replace it with that can help counter two wraithknights or AV14? 				<description><![CDATA[ If you are cutting the knight,  and are worried about av14 and wraithknights, I'd would suggest another grav bike squad with 2 gravs, a combi-grav, and a Melta Bomb. That can take care of any tank. Grav guns are proven to be good against wraithknights, and if they charge you, grim resolve will help put one or two more wounds on him. If he doesn't roll a 6 on his stomp, you can hit and run out and shoot him again! <br /> <br /> I'm not sure how many points dropping the knight will get you, but I think that change will give you enough pts for a grav squad and to add more to that black knight squad or to add in a flamer bike squad to get rid of those pesky pathfinder marker lights. <br /> <br /> Though don't feel pressured to take out the knight, he is great, and the benifit for not taking a LOW is not completely game changing. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(17);'>Btw</span>, your army looks great so far!<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Just to be clear, the only advantages are the book-related ones:<br /> <br /> +1 to seize the initiative  and 1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(140);'>VP</span> for every 3 hull points/wounds done to a Super Heavy.<br /> <br /> Anything else that I missed from that packet?  Definitely not much of a downside.  Going 2nd usually helps in mission based games anyhow. hehe<br /> <br /> I went to a local rogue trader tournament and there were no disadvantages at all for taking super heavies. In fact, it was a double tournament and my partner and I killed a Baneblade AND a Wrathknight one game and we didn't get any bonuses towards it.  We did hold the relic at the end and won regardless. haha.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah those advantages are in Escalation, not 7th <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span>, so not everyone plays with them. In fact I hadn't heard of them.  ITC does allow the outclassed opponent to roll on the Escalation Warlord Trait table, which helps some.<br /> <br /> And yeah, I think it's still worth it to bring my Imperial Knight because I don't have any other models that hit nearly as hard.]]></description>

But I want to playtest this; in most games I think the command squad can stretch out to keep him within coherency. And in the one game I played with him in that unit, his +1 Attack buff, combined with zealot, really supercharged the hammers.<br /> <br /> What else should I be concerned about?]]></description>

With that limitation, is the Dark Angel conclave still valuable? Or should I replace them with something else like the Mechanicus grav destroyers or a Ravenwing Support Squad or more Black Knights and bikers?<br /> <br /> Unfortunately there's no place in my detachments for a transport for the assassin. Infiltrate will get him onto one of Adepticon's jumbo objectives, hopefully that's enough for him to be effective? I'm more concerned that he can't be in the same zip code as my own psykers.<br /> <br /> I've had good luck with the stasis grenades. Black Knight shooting is great, but it's in assault where they're devastating.
