I'm just wondering. Is twin linking more bang for your buck, or is it just better to go a second weapon altogether?

Twin linked vs 2 guns. Which is better on crisis suits?

As stated above.. it depends on your points available and army list. The Hunter contigent rules and markerlights can give you higher BS making the twin linked relatively less useful since no much in the rules grants you extra shots. If you don't actually have the spare extra points for a second weapon and/or don't have the models that give you markerlights, twin-linking if probably a better choice.

Two guns are always better than one, right? Though really the thing is that you're getting a lot more value with two instead of one, since you're doubling potential hits and wounds, while also having multiple ways to make up for the loss of twinlinked by either boosting BS with Markerlights or simply giving the suits Twinlinked with a Buffmander.

Twin linked vs 2 guns. Which is better on crisis suits?

As everyone has already said, 2 weapons every time. I have seen some people advocate using the 3rd hard point to make one of the guns twin-linked, so that you still get two shots but one of them will be more reliable. I personally have never tried it as it seems a waste of points and a hardpoint to me, but if points aren't an issue you can give it a shot.

Anything from EWO or the thing that gives +1BS for overwatch, and whatever else just seems like so much more value.

I mean it's the same points either way, and I can see the benefit of having twinlinked, but it just feels like it's a little worse than other options most of the time.

Twin linked vs 2 guns. Which is better on crisis suits?

+1bs over watch on models with BC is hilariously good(mostly my stealthsuits) or atleast has been every time ive used it.

As far as 2guns vs TL for me its more of a 2guns or 1 AND 1TL. it comes down to purpose. going squad hunting? 2 guns everytime. DSing a lone suit or 2 to destroy key vehicles? I'll take 1 and 1TL to make my chances of landing the fatal blow much higher.

Also, mixing is typically a no no, but in past additions ive had a lot of luck with plasma+missle suits. the range on the missles often can give your suits an extra turn of at least some shooting if your PRs are out of range. And even though it may sound like its roll is confused the high chance of would with S7missiles makes for nice RoF failed saves because they very often wound things easily.

Twin linked vs 2 guns. Which is better on crisis suits?

I personally don't like BC's at all on Suits, since there are plenty of other models that can get them, or you could just go heavy on the troops for the same effect. Generally the Over Watch ability I use on Plasma Suits, since they can do a lot of damage when deep striking in close range, and then they're likely to get charged so they can usually finish off things with only a couple hits. The Tankmander would go with this group if I run one, since they can also run weapons while taking tank systems, unlike the Buffmander.

When it comes to Missile Suits, I like going with the EWO system since those will usually be with the Buffmander if given the option, meaning they're already Twin Linked.

I can see taking a Twin Linked version of a Fusion Blaster when running solo Fusion Suits for tank hunting, but even then it's kind of iffy. I mean there's no real system I want on them, so I'd probably just save the 5 points, but if I wanted a third system I'd go with a Twin Linked probably at this point.
