Luna Wolves defining aesthetic characteristics?

I'm looking through all the forge world task forces for betrayal of calth and wondering, if they brought out a Luna Wolf one what would it look like? Would it be identical to the SoH one but white with the LW emblem?

What defining characteristics did their armour have?

Thanks

The Luna Wolves at the time of being a Luna Wolves would have had mostly Mk II and MK III armor, the emblem being the Crescent Moon and Wolfs head on white armor. It wasn't until Well after the ullanor conquest that they changed officially to the Sons of Horus and the green color scheme.

But everyone else seemed to just have the basic white armor and emblem so I would imagine you'd see similar upgrade kits, shoulder pads with the Luna Wolves emblem emblazoned on them.

Maybe Fancy stuff for dedicated units, but I wouldn't expect anything too over the top.

Luna Wolves defining aesthetic characteristics?

If you're talking Great Crusade armor you can probably mix and match up to Mark IV. Since you specified Luna Wolves I assume this is the look you're after.

If your building for the Heresy you should be overwhelmingly Mark IV, as Horus made sure he (and the other Traitor Legions) got early refits to the best armor available.

If you're talking aesthetic preferences among the Legion, they don't seem to go in for any particular style. Luna Wolves seemed to be pragmatic and flexible, not overly given to unnecessary ornamentation (Blood Angels, Emperor's Children) or a particular cultural look(Ultramarines, Thousand Sons). I'd keep things practical, simple and clean, stripped down for action, rather like the Iron Warriors or the Iron Hands.

You might model heavy and assault weapon models with some extra ammo or energy cells, and your veteran as might carry some extra close combat weapons or backup pistols, much as 21st century veteran troops tend to do.

My two cents.

Luna Wolves defining aesthetic characteristics?

IIRC in Horus Rising the only defining thing was the fact they had MkIV armour: when they find a MkIII eye piece on Murder they know it can't be a Luna Wolf (of that force at least) because they only had MkIV.

The helmet on the cover of False Gods is somewhat cool, but given that the marines are wearing Mk7 armour with a Mk5/8 hybrid breastplate I wouldn't put a great deal of faith in it as an accurate depiction.
