Thoughts on Hellions, Reavers, Beast Mastersand Shining Spears?

I've been kicking around ideas for lists to build up to somewhere down the road. I really like my wych models and the fluff I've come up with for their wych cult, and I've been feeling the urge to run a "proper" wych cult list with a mix of wyches, hellions, and reavers. And yes, I'm aware that hellions are reavers aren't really wyches. I realize that these are all generally considered subpar units these days, but I wanted to get the interwebz' thoughts. If you absolutely positively had to work such units into a list, what upgrades would you take, and how would you use them? My thoughts:

*Scourges make alright anti-tank options while also being half-decent at tearing up infantry. This, combined with their speed makes them good opportunists who can hit either vehicles or infantry as necessary. Probably worth giving them some sort of AT weapon and cluster caltrops as a result.

*Hellions seem like they can almost be halfway decent if they get the right drug roll and access to Furious Charge. Considering how little they contribute without the right buffs, maybe reserve and hide them until PFP gives you Furious Charge if you *do* get the right drug roll and simply use them as cover for venoms if you don't? Their shooting is okay, but so is a venom's.

*It's hard to kill things with wyches, but they're a cheap way to unlock an obsec venom. Maybe plan on the venom doing most of the heavy lifting and use wyches to pin enemies in place while reavers and hellions use hit & run to maximize their damage against the enemy? If that's the plan, is it worth it to go with raiders instead of venoms so that you can carry a larger squad of wyches and tarpit a little more effectively?

*Full-sized wych mobs. No one uses them. You hemmorhage points if things shoot you. But maybe there's a place for a webway portal wych mob that can drown the right targets in bodies while a succubus and/or hekatrix try to do some heavy lifting?

*Beast packs are reasonably fast and cheap if you go Khymerae heavy and razorwing light. Are these viable in a conventional fashion?

Obviously this isn't the sort of list I"m likely to bring to a tournament anytime soon, but it would be nice to play a "fluffy" wych list more often rather than constantly loaning their units out to my kabal.

Also, what are your thoughts on Shining Spears? I know that losing hit & run hurts, but they're a lot less expensive than they used to be as well. I feel like a bunch of MSU 'spears units taken as part of a +1 WS aspect host might actually be viable. Especially if you take multiple 'hosts worth of them. With +1 WS, you'll be hitting most things on 3's and wounding them on 2's. That's after your shooting wreaks havoc on whatever you target first. The star lance is strong enough to deny many units FNP while also obviously be handy for doubling out toughness and ignoring armor. If you're worried about getting bogged down in combat, you can always send in a couple extra squads. Each squad is fast and small enough to have a decent chance of hiding behind terrain. 'Spear spam seems like a half-decent way to go hunting for monsters while also being able to threaten vehicles and anything that enjoys relatively heavy armor. You just have to avoid getting bogged down, and that seems like a minor concern when you have enough squads flitting around to simply throw more into the fray as needed.

Reavers are actually amazing units. Maybe one of the best in the Codex. D6 S6 Rending Attacks that ignore rolling to hit (ie hits invisible units automatically) is amazeballs. Super fast, don't care about terrain, can be used as an assault force or for screening other units.
