What to pick up next for Eldar?

So I've been putting together an Eldar force and kind of hit a road block on what to pick up next. I have about $200 I can spend. I currently have the following

1x Farseer
1x Asurmen
1x Yriel
30x Guardians
25X Dire Avengers
4x Wave Serpents
1x Vyper
3x War Walkers
1X Fire Prism
1x Wraithknight

None of this is built by the way. I wasn't planning on doing a warhost, and I dont play competitively. I was thinking I should pick up 2 more Wave Serpents, 1 Flier, and start picking up Fire Dragons or Wraithguard. I dislike bike armies as a personal preference and how op they are. I'm torn between Warp Spiders and Swooping Hawks. I'm doing a Yme-Loc themed army which favors tanks, I really enjoy the wraith constructs, but don't want to spam wraithguard since they carry D weapons. Any help would be appreciated!

Fragile, but good. If you're in a meta where flyers are a thing, pick one up. Reserves manipulation from Yriel / Farseer benefit it.
I think Warp Spiders are better than Hawks, and the only reason I take Hawks over Spiders is the severely dated sculpts for Spiders.
Fire Dragons and Wraithguard are both great units, but suffer from a short effective range (thus meaning needing a transport), Fragons are cheaper, but less likely to weather the return fire.

Anyway, just my 2c.

As I said I like wraiths units, but don't want to spam. I may get 1 squad of Wraithguard and 1 or 2 squads of Fire Dragons.

Warp Spiders/Swooping Hawks, I'm not too sure which one to go with here. Warp Spiders have that cool ability to disengage during your opponent's turn, but are very old sculpts. Swooping Hawks can do a bit of anti infantry and anti tank but are pretty fragile. Since Hawks can do a little of both I may go with them.

Re:What to pick up next for Eldar?

As long as you could run your army in a detachment with formations if you had to, you seem to have enough for a standard Guardian Warhost.
So, assume you will be taking 3 aspect units at a time, with an exarch. You don't have to, of course, but it helps to think it through when making a list for casual CAD lists, or more.

So, Warp Spiders are good for jumping around tanks, keeping them safe. Or, flanking and harassing the enemy. They are pretty tough, especially with their reactionary teleport.
Swooping Hawks are all-rounders, but are flimsy.
Keeping an eye on where to put your ICs makes for some good builds. Winged Autarch in the Hawks squad can get him to aid a unit in trouble. a foot-Autarch or Farseer in a transport can split off to take on the enemy Warlord. Putting them in with a DA with a Diresword gives redundancy.

If you end up with too many Dire Avengers or Guardians, look at converting them into Warp Spiders. I remember seeing a good conversion on the gallery, so see if there is anything in there, if you are up for a hefty mini-project.

It all depends on what your opponents are fielding. If they are using the Necron Decurion, or Tau with their Storm Surges, feel free to use a Wraithknight or some of the better choices in the codex- not because you are playing competitively or not, but more because you like the models. I dont prefer to play extremely competitively, however I do own a Wraithknight as I like the model and you can always use the non D variant. Probably grab the Vaul's Artillery Battery for fun later on, followed by a unit of Warp Spiders and a unit if Swooping Hawks to see which I like better.
If you plan on buying Fire Dragons or Warp Spiders, just be warned that the finecast models are pretty bad. Out of three boxes of Fire Dragons I purchased, I could only get like 12 to look decent. Warp Spiders are also a problem, and they have OLD sculpts. I suggest you look to Ebay for metal models (good luck with Warp Spiders though, there is apparently a run on them and they are going for high prices, go figure). I would stick to new plastics for your next purchase.

The new bikes are really good kits. I magnetize the weapons so I can swap out what I want. You don't have to bring scatter lasers!

A Guardian Battlehost is really fun to run. Vauls Wrath is a great kit. . Because the Weapons Platforms for Guardians are free, chose the Eldar Missle Launcher. So it’s hard to make recommendations in a vacuum. For example, I had a lot of fun fielding a pair of vypers with duel shurcannons. They put out an impressive amount of dakka. But if needed, they could just take brightlances and flit about the backfield taking pot-shots at heavy armor.

Like any TAC list, make sure you have enough of the right tools to take on any threats. How and where to field them depends a lot on what you like.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

Skinnereal wrote:
Crimson Hunters get a 90-degree turn before and after moving with Vector Dancer.
So, it can be more of a slide along the table-end, to keep out of AA range.

Or to swoop into someone’s rear arc and shoot them down.
