Loyalist World Eaters

So, I've been working on my Raven Guard and Skitarii for a functioning 40K army recently, but I've decided to make a diorama for my next project once all of these are finished. I'm still learning about the Horus Heresy, so I'm a little fuzzy on what all happened to all of the loyalist World Eaters and loyalists from other traitor legions. From what I can understand, the Sons of Horus, World Eaters, Emperor's Children, and the Death Guard all had loyalist elements that were destroyed on Istvaan III. Those forces were sent there via drop pod so that all communication could be cut off before their brothers turned on them and started to destroy them from orbit. My big question right now is: is it possible that after the virus bombing of the planet and after Angron took the traitorous World Eaters onto the planet to finish what the bomb didn't, that the loyalists may have found a Rhino or something to use themselves? I'm just trying to make a canonically accurate scene so I don't look like an idiot to people that actually know more about the Heresy than I do. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Also, it should be remembered that roughly 20k-31k members of the World Eaters Legion were not present at the Istvaan system. I don't doubt that there were Loyalists amongst those Marines that had been distanced from Angron's influence.

Shabon dhar the white eyes was a loyalist world eater, we don't know if he survived the Choral City atrocity, we also have a new "renegade" world eater character in the new book, so neither loyalist or traitor, so yes, there are plenty of ways to have loyalist world eaters.

The loyalists had vehicles with them when they were deployed to the surface of Isstvan III, they were supposed to eliminate the rebellion that was going on there. It would have been suspicious if they hadn't been given the full range of equipment normally used when pacifying a planet.
Here you can read some basic information: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Battle_of_Isstvan_III

Also, the most famous loyalist World Eater is undoubtedly Macer Varren

Well thank you guys for the feedback. I still have a lot of painting of my current 40K army ahead of me, but I figure planning this out and gathering more detailed bits over time would be better than just jumping into it all.

There are plenty of ways to have loyalists of traitor legions survive:
-they were just separated from their legion doing something else during the whole Isstvaan shabang
-warp travel screwed up and then they were... somewhere?
-they did the Raven Guard thing and survived on Isstvaan III for ages until they could be saved
-they ran like all hell as soon as they heard of heresy

Just come up with something believable.

In the HH series a there were actually a few survivors of the Istvan virus bombing. It's fully possible.

Many loyalist marines that belonged to traitor legions were either killed on the spot, or imprisoned and put through some rigorous loyalty testings. some loyalist world eaters even join the founding of the Grey Knights and assist on the few few GK missions before they were officially called Grey Knights.
