Regaining the tip of a brush?

One of my fairly nice brushes has somehow frayed into 4 tips naking it quite hard to paint details. Is there any way for me to regain the fine tip of this brush or should I just pick up a new one?

Regaining the tip of a brush?

yes but then quality of a brush matters. if this brush is a cheap synthetic brush it might not be possible. look up the masters brush cleaner. it will clean the brush up a bit

- wet the brush and smear it around in the soap (dont do it in such a way that damages the bristles or push too deep into the ferrule) and then rinse it off a few times to restore the brush a little

- after this roll the brush like you would with paint to get a point and the soap will harden (comes off in water) and hopefully maintain the point.

I do this after every painting session to maintain a point and it helps keep brushes for months and years (and i DESTROY brushes so thats saying something)

It depends

you could possibly recondition it with brush soap and some love. make sure to get all the paint off of it.

If its in the ferral then you might be in trouble.

If its a synthetic brush then you might be SOL too since they do that eventually.

It's not a synthetic brush, so I'll probably just try brush soap on it then.
