I've been getting back into the hobby after a many year hiatus - I have my eye on going tournament level eventually. Anywho, my local shop is having a 1250pt Highlander Tournament next week and I'd like to use this as practice run for future comps (regardless of them being Highlander or not). Without further ado, here is my current list:

HQ -

Sammael (Sableclaw) - 200pt -
Librarian - ML2, SoH, bike - 110pt

ELITES -

Contemptor Dread - KAC, MM, CML (225pt)

FAST ATTACK

Black Knights (x6) - (240pt)
RW Bike Squad (x6), Melta x2 - (170pt)

AUX - RW Support Squadron

Darkshroud - HB - (80pt)
Land Speeder Typhoon (TML, HB) x2 - (150pt)
RW Land Speeder (HB, MM) (65pt)

I THINK this list should be fairly competitive - The amount of speed should be unmatched, and I think I have a fair amount of firepower to boot ('dem Plasma Talons doe). I do feel I'm a bit weaker on the anti-vehicle side of things - The Contemptor is my main AA/AV specifically for this reason - no, I do not have 2 KAC's sadly!! To make up for this I'm considering dropping some relics for some Melta Bombs. ie, if I drop the SoH on the lib, that gives me 2x melta bombs, and I could just keep him near the DS for shrouding... Ditching Sammael would give me a large amount of points, but I'm not sure what I could dump those into seeing the 'every unit is unique' rule for highlander.. An Attack Bike squad would be nice.. If I owned more than 1 model that is :(

The glaring weakness is model count. But with a 3+ reroll Jink (potentially 2+ if near DS, which is main tactic) I think I can weather a lot of the dakka being thrown my way. Still, I only have 14 inf, and 5 vehicles... is 19 models too small to survive? I feel I can outrun the most threatening units and use my contemptor as a fire magnet while the BK's make their way 'round the board. It being highlander I don't need to worry as much about drop pod spam, crazy high vehicle counts, etc.
