I should be able to join him with a Kroot unit and make use of his Volley Fire, right? The Kroot uses pulse rifles after all. But what if they use Sniper rounds? Do I still make use of the Volley Fire rule? I cant see why not, what do you say?

The Fireblade's rule specifies only two weapons (Pulse Rifles and Pulse Carbines) and not "all pulse weaponry".
