[1850] - Space Wolves - The Firehowlers

A list I was working on to take advantage of one of my favorite SW units which are the Skyclaws. The Firehowler Great Pack is an ideal fit for this playstyle and the potential synergy with Wulfen could lead to potentially a very nasty melee focused army. Right out the gate I concede that this list can't deal with air threats but ill trade AA ability for ability to murder ground targets with lots of bodies.

The Firehowlers
Core
Wolf Guard Battle Leader (1) - Power Fist, Storm Shield, Bike, Runic Armor |135| *Warlord*
Wolf Guard (5) - Bikes, 2 power mauls (WGPL has one of them), 1 power axe |170|
Grey Hunters (5) - Drop Pod, Plasma Gun, WGPL w/ Combi Plasma, Wolf Standard, 2 CCW (as a point sink) |169|
Land Speeder Squadron (1) - 2x Multi Melta |80|
Skyclaws (10) - Power Fist, WGPL w/ 2x Wolf Claws |215|
Skyclaws (10) - Power Fist, WGPL w/ 2x Wolf Claws |215|
Skyclaws (10) - Power Fist, WGPL w/ 2x Wolf Claws |215|
Skyclaws (10) - Power Fist, WGPL w/ 2x Wolf Claws |215|

Auxiliary
Wulfen Murderpack
Wulfen (5) - 2 Great Frost Axe, 2 TH/SS, Dual Frost Claws |218|
Wulfen (5) - 2 Great Frost Axe, 2 TH/SS, Dual Frost Claws |218|

Basically the idea is to blitz up the field turn 1 with a lot of units and potentially make a turn 1 charge if the Wulfen ability is increase movement (50% of the results with the formation allows for a potential turn 1 charge).
The Skyclaws are the meat of the army to threaten the enemy and charge in to deal lots of damage. Able to chop through hordes as well as volume of attacks (and hidden power fist) for more durable units.

Grey Hunters drop in turn 1 to have the banner ready for any close combat action, fire some plasma to soften up the enemy, and act as bait for return fire.

Land Speeder is to give a mobile or deepstrike capable form of ranged AV to pop a threatening vehicle. Its part of the requirement for the formation (that or another unit of GH) so its cheaper than a pod of GH with meltas). Another one and done unit that can act as a distraction

Wolf Guard with the WGBL rolling in with their bikes and beat the mess out of things. These are the guys that will probably be going around bashing medium vehicles (reason for the mauls) and being the body guards for the WGBL.

The Wulfen are the hardest hitting units but also the slowest of the assault focused in the list. Their survival is dependent on LoS blocking for turn 1 and threat overload from all the fast moving infantry going in their face right off the bat. If the Wulfen make it into CC they will DESTROY anything they encounter and hopefully the Skyclaws can tie down the enemy for the Wulfen to come in and give them the business. They are the unit that will require the most careful placement to keep them alive if I'm going 2nd.

Adding some questions for feedback.

So how do you think this kind of list will work? (I included my thinking behind each unit. Is this realistic or wishful/deluded thinking)
Anybody have an experience with this kind of assault heavy not TWC list? Particularly with the Firehowlers Great Pack.
Am I lacking heavy hitters without units like TWC or heavy range weapons like the Stormwolf or Long Fangs? I know the wulfen hit like a red painted battlewagon without breaks but is it reasonable to rely on them surviving until they can get stuck in?
The Wolf Guard unit was really difficult to figure out how to run effectively. Does it look like it needs more bodies/gear at the expense of other units or is going lean on them more reasonable?

I think thematically this list is awesome! I love the visual of massed assault of jump pack troops. Paired with a murderpack for the potential double move is pretty good. If you don't get that 7+ buff your army will take a beating, especially against Tau, Eldar, Battle Company and AM. I would like to see some more melta in there, even if it's just some combi-meltas on your WG bikers or maybe melta/combi-melta on your podding GH. I'd like to hear how your list does in a game.
