				<title>[1000] - Imperial Guard - Defence of Trivan VII </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hello!<br /> <br /> I am going to be facing some Eldar and Tau, ones that -don't- pull any punches. (My opponents are very win oriented. And the tau player KNOWS I am a huge Tau Racist, so he'll be gloating every time he kills atleast ONE of my models.)  with Space Wolf allies, and I am hoping to get opinions and optimization on my list.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQs</span><br /> <br /> Lord-Commissar - Carapace armor | Bolt pistol | Power Axe<br /> <br /> Tank Commander - 2 Vanquishers, 1 with 2 heavy bolter sponsons (command tank) buddy tank just has hull mounted heavy bolter.<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> <br /> Infantry platoon<br /> <br />  Captain Conrades personal Guard - Captain Conrade with Carapace, Medic, Vox caster, 2 guardsmen with Lasguns.<br /> <br /> Infantry Squad -  Sgt. with Power axe and laspistol, Meltagun.<br /> <br /> Infantry squad - Guardsman with Vox Caster. <br /> <br /> 2x base infantry squads.<br /> <br /> 3x Autocannons<br /> <br /> 3x Mortars.<br /> <br /> Veterans <br /> <br /> 2 meltas<br /> <br /> Rocket Launcher<br /> <br /> 4 Guardsmen<br /> <br /> Guardsman with Vox Caster<br /> <br /> Sgt. with bolt pistol and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>.<br /> <br /> ELITES<br /> <br /> 4 Ratlings <br /> <br /> <br /> My main decision is whether to make 2 squads of 20, or 1 squad of 40 guardsmen with the Lord-Commissar inside of it. I was thinking 2 squads of 20 for holding objectives, and I could edit my list to have a vox and 2 sgts in each, while the veterans move around and attack with their anti-Armour capabilities. <br /> <br /> Picture of the 152nd Cadian Detachment 'Warband' <br /> <div style="margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:10px;">

				<description><![CDATA[ Big squads are probably better for scoring as they will most likely die fast on there own. <br /> I would probably upgrade two of the squads to vets though and put some two of the heavy weapons in there, putting the 3rd in with an infantry squad, costs about the same and makes use of the higher <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>bs</span>.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'd go 2 squads of 20 as otherwise you lack too much flexibility. I'd ditch the Lord commisar for a regular one and then get a company command squad, you're forming a gunline and you want orders. That said, I'd also split your tank commander from the other tank, the orders he can give don't provide you any real benefit and restrict your shooting. <br /> I'd also drop the ratlings, they're fluffy but trash and your opponents don't seem like the kind to let it fly. I'd also look at investing in an aegis defence line for your dudes, they're not going anywhere and you don't want to risk poor terrain at deployment ruining your battle plan. Also while mortars are good at picking off footsloggers, if you think you opponent is more vehicle oriented drop them. I'd get a transport for your vets too if possible, hold them back behind your lines until they can be used as a late game objective taker or counter attacking unit against enemy assaults.]]></description>
