What Primer? Question for Airbrush. replacement for Citadel Bestial Brown

I have dipped my toes into Airbrushing.

I have an Iwata Neo which seems more than sufficient for my limited needs.

Have been using Vallejo PU primer for a while, mainly brushing on to models but have tried out in the airbrush and..it clogs...repeatedly.

Whilst its been good exercise to learn the inner workings of my air brush regarding cleaning I guess I am doing something wrong.

Thinning a PU primer just strikes me as wrong, but, should I do this? Do I need another needle?

I got some crappy airbrushes with my compressor that I could use for priming and covering large areas, Should I abuse one of these cheapo implements and keep the less cheap Neo for base coating etc?

Some help would be appreciated.

Also, what is the closest match to the previous incarnation of Citadel Bestial Brown? Doesn't have to be GW /Citadel but close enough would be good.

Thanks.

What Primer? Question for Airbrush. replacement for Citadel Bestial Brown

Well... I still thin my primer a little with proper AB medium, I use Liquitex... though can you play around with the PSI and get it out without thinning if you really want.

Isn't Mournfang brown the new Bestial?

As for saving the good airbrush... well I have a cheapo that I always used for metallics and I end up using it the most just because I don't care to clean it that well ha. But eventually you do have to break it down and clean the heck out of it... as long as you're thorough with cleaning you won't hurt the Neo.

Did you get the pistol grip by any chance?

I'll play around with the PSI for sure. I have some AB thinner so Ill have a play and see what works best or better for me.

No pistol grip on the neo though. I'm actually damned impressed for the price though.
