				<title>[1500] - Chaos space marines </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I am relatively new to warhammer by way of the horus heresy books. I've decided to start up a chaos space marine army and wanted some advice from you fine folks. I am looking to stick to more of a themed army, so I don't need to be ultra competetive, but would like an army that can hold its own and be fun to play. The idea is that this army is comprised on members of the White Scars who defected to Horus' cause. Hardly creative, but it justified the white scars color scheme with chaos marines. Alas, I am not sure if the list is total rubbish. 				<title>[1500] - Chaos space marines </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Be aware that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> is in terrible shape, and even for a friendly fluffy list, it's a real possibility that you're just going to get your face stomped in by even the most casual Tau/Eldar and Necron lists.<br /> <br /> Very dependent on meta. If you regularly face marines with very few vehicles, then I guess it's noth the worst thing ever. If that doesn't describe who you face in a vast majority of your games, then you might have to make some changes, primary of which I must ask being why you aren't running <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> (Khrne DaemonKin) instead, since the only thing you can't get there is the predators and dakka preds are pretty bad.<br /> <br /> Also, get a juggernaught for the lord, drop a biker or vets to find the points.<br /> <br /> Quick guide to what can go to make it more competative would be <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(644);'>VotLW</span> everywhere, the flamers on the bikes, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(99);'>MoK</span> everywhere except the lord, all three predators, ditch one of the bikes for a spawn unit so you have options on who the lord rolls with.<br /> <br /> The Havok launchers can probably also go, but if you're using the rhinos to camp objectives, it does let them contribute from range and they're actually decent value for 12 points.<br /> <br /> Rough guide on things to add would be anti tank as a priority (again, dependent on meta, if you never play against anyone with armour, then don't worry about it), but Obliterators would give you at least the semblance of some ranged power.<br /> <br /> A pair of maulerfiends could do some work, but 2 is one and one are none, so I'd suggest deciging between 3 maulerfiends (they would keep the fast assault theme going) or none and get the Oblits instead if you decide none.<br /> <br /> A heldrake is always a winner, but you've already maxed out your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(35);'>FA</span> slots.<br /> <br /> A second Lord on jugger with fist/claw/sigil wouldn't be the worst thing ever (I would suggest a sorceror, but I'm fairly sure you don't want to break fluff that badly).<br /> <br /> Sorry to say, I think khorne is bottom of the heap (though Tzeentch isn't far off) when it comes to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Bikers are relentless, which makes Plasma very valuable for them.<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> units auf 5 seem quite useless to me. I'm using Plague marines and even them get wiped fast when they are only 5, that's why I found 7 not only fluffier but also much more survivable. Since you are Khorne 8 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> could be more worthwile. On the other hand it would make them much more expensive, so if you only want to camp objectives and nothing else, 5 man squads could be okay.<br /> If you don't fight <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> regularly I'd get rid of the Veterans of the long war. If you want to stick to it though, have a look at the Black legion supplement, maybe you find some inspiration there.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ As you pointed out you're not playing super competitive but want to compete, with that in mind I'll give some generic Chaos Space marine advice (for what it's worth)<br /> Mark of Nurgle is the best mark, the extra attack/s for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(99);'>MoK</span> is nice when you're in combat but does nothing to help you survive whilst you're getting there, and the game is currently in favour of shooty armies.<br /> Chaos bikes are one of our best units, the others would be Obliterators, Plague Marines, Spawn and the Helldrake. For their points you would also be best using cultists in place of Chaos marines, partucularly if their primary role is to sit on objectives. <br /> Special weapons depend on what you think you'r up against, best to use the same type in any one unit, never mix and match.]]></description>
