Questions over using polymer clay for casting.

I'm looking into a way to do bulk casting of some low detail robed bodies I've sculpted, for a relatively cheap price. The idea I have right now is to use heat drying polymer clay, most brands of which are less costly then resin or epoxy putys. I would use plastercine, hardened with cold or glue to make moulds of the bodies. Then comes the problem. In order to bake the clay I have to take it out of the mould without destroying the detail, and then transfer it to a tray for baking. Apart from this tricky problem I think it might work well. Any problems with this plan that I'm missing, or solutions to the mould/detail problem

polymer clay hardens to like a plaster, it can shatter really easy. So at best it be a 1 time mold

You can go to michaels and buy a thing called easy mold for 30$

oh wait you mean for the models, well it can be kinda soft and not form well unless you really jam it in there then getting it out qith out deforming it would be tricky.

you can also buy clear resin at michaels aswell 25$ if you go to their website and get the cupon

If you don't want to mess about with silicon, you could try making a two-part press-mould out of your polymer clay. Before use, spray with a silicon spray, or brush lightly with oil, and then drop in a blob of clay and press the two halves of the mould together to form your piece. Remove the mould and bake.

In the past i've used plastic clay (this may be the same as what the other guys have mentioned but this is what i know it as) to make a two part press mould, filled with milliput. When the milliput has cured/dried, the plastic clay moulds are flexible so the milliput can just be popped out. No damage to the moulds and the cast just needs tidying up etc.
