Depending on the loadout, Terminators can do well. I've had good success with TH/SS Terminators as they are durable, particulary with a Sanguinary Priest attached to them.

BAAL STRIKE FORCE

HQ: Captain with artificer armor, jumpack and valour's edge. 145pts. your meelee beatstick. Ensure he always charges for murderous 5 attacks at S5 AP2 I6.

Troops:

1) 5-man tactical squad with heavy flamer and rhino. 125pts.
2) 10-man tactical squad with flamer, heavy flamer and rhino. 200pts

Elites:
1) 5-man deathcompany with jump-packs and a powerfist. 140pts

Heavy support:

1) Baal predator with AC, HBs and dozerblades 140pts.

Total: 750pts

The fiv man-hold the backfield while their rhino runs around to get objectives.
The other one is to punish enemies via making them roll many saves.
The baal predator will maul light armor: in this point level most vehicles have AV11 or less on the sides, so your AC can wreck them. For the odd leman russ, try to use the deathcompany: get close and punch it from behind.
