Firstly, mesh. I've tried model aluminum mesh, but I'm not totally happy with the scale of even the small stuff, so I'm currently exploring other options.

Secondly plasticard for constructing the speaker boxes, I've also got some tubular stuff for circular speakers.

Thirdly, again, this is theoretical at the moment, but there's some pretty small actual speakers out there for not much cash, so I'm thinking they might work for some larger ones.

And where can I get 'some tubular stuff'? Because I think the circular speakers stick out across the whole body of the dreadnought would look pretty cool.

Squares, I beams, tubes etc..

There's various diameters as well, which I'd recommend, as uniform sized speakers everywhere may not look great, clusters of various sizes may be better.

Have a look in eBay under electrical components, there's all sorts of speakers available, the smallest I've seen are around 45mm that will look like speakers still, smaller than that and they look like plastic discs. So, if you're interested, I recently bought two upgrade packs and two weapon packs for my noise marines. I have an excess of blast masters, sonic blasters and doom sirens, so I'm going to be cutting off the speaker parts of those and sticking them on the helbrute. As a caveat, I have no experience of this but it looks like people fit these to model trains. Imagine a Sonic Dreadnought that actually played snatches of heavy metal music. Might need some innovative hiding of the components but surely it would be worth it
