The White and Red stripes signify that the vehicle has lived through its first battle and is a fully fledged member of the 37th. The 37th markings on its front also note its unit, custom painted by Corporal Tunner.



The markings have been painted on by Corporal Tunner quite recently, when he decided to 'keep score' even though he has gotten many, MANY other kills and destroyed vehicles.

of course, that front paint..... see, the problem with painting "slapdash" style is it just looks like bad paint. I figured you wanted it to look like the pilot did it, but it looks super thick, as if you didnt thin the paint at all.

Maybe next time you can weather or wash the whole vehicle, then paint cleanly over top that to make it look like a new paintjob?

Thanks! I put a lot work into my fluff, but the model was bought from a friend (along with a bunch of catachans, seen in the picture) but the Sentinel was painted by myself, before it was a matt grey primed color.

At the time of painting the stripes I had lost my pallette pad (it was ontop of my computer tower) and me with no pallette on hand, I didn't thin them down. Its a common problem with all of my command stripes and is something I am trying to remember.

Heres some closeups of the catachans though, I still have about 70 or so infantry models that need paint. (these were painted at the time of buying, I keep them on my desk though because they look very nice.)





Also, for the white bars I did just use Ceramite white. I might want to get a new white for the bar colors before I work on my next sentinel.

EDIT: To be more specific, I suck at remembering to thin down paints and my brushes are not well maintained as they are 2.99 brushes from my local hobby store.
