Malaur's Infernal Tetrad

After seeing the formation in the wulfen book and reading posts by Labmouse42, I decided to try my had at making an Infernal Tetrad. I picked up a Daemon Prince, a Talos pain engine, some spare miniatures, and my trusty bits box and got to work converting and building.

I started with my Nurgle prince. For him, he is built with the base Daemon prince box with his right hand being replaced with some bone looking tentacles from the Talos kit. I primed him black to start, following up with a coat of Avocado Green (from some random hobby paints I had), a wash of Reaper Grass Green, and then a drybrushing of Reaper Khaki Shadow. I then put a layer of leadbelcher on the gauntlets and tentacles followed by a drybrush of clotted red on the tentacle tips.

The horns and teeth were random hobby brand ivory, then washed with Clotted Red and Khaki Shadow. For the chest brand I think I used Reaper Clotted Red (though I am really not sure). I waited for it to dry a bit and then used a small sponge to dab and smear it to give it a pulsing and infected look. Once everything dried a bit, I gave the model a wash with Testor's CreateFX black wash.

This is the first daemon I've painted and I really enjoyed it. This seems like a fun paint scheme to use for my Plaguebearers and Nurglings when I get around to them. I want to make him more...I dunno, wet and shiny looking, though I'm not really sure how to best achieve that. I also want to use glue to make mucus dangling from the tentacles, but again, I don't know how to do that yet.

Any comments, critiques or ideas would be greatly appreciated! I'm still not that good a painter and would love some tips from more experienced hobbyists!

And for a sneak peek of tonight's project, the Khorne Prince before he's painted.
