I have decide to get back into warhammer 40k after a few years of not playing. I used to play Tyranid and never really won much. Before I stopped I bought a bunch of space wolves and put them together. I'm looking to get back into 40K but not really sure where to start. I have the new space wolf codex and that is about it. My list is pretty simple as it is mainly what I have:

1000 points: The wolves unleashed detachment
HQ:
Wolf lord with runic armour and the bite of Fenris 135 points
Battle leader with runic armour and the fang of the ice wolf 100 points
Troops:
10 Bloodclaws with the leader upgrade with melta bombs and a flamer 140 points
10 grey hunters with a leader 150 points
Fast attack:
3 Thunderwolves with 2 TH/SS and 1 Frost Axe/SS 245 points
1 land speeder with assault cannon and heavy bolter 80 points
Heavy Support:
5 long fangs with 4 plasma cannons and a plasma gun 150 points
Total: 1000/1000

1500 points is the same list as above but with:
HQ:
Rune priest with mastery level 2, runic armour, melta bombs and runic sword 115 points
Elite:
3 wolf guard terminators with power fists and storm bolter 129 points
5 wolf guard with jet packs, twin wolf claws and melta bombs 255 points

Total: 1499/1500

The plan for this/these list(s) is to use what I have. I don't really want to spend any more money on this army until I'm sure that I really want to get back into 40k. (Have a bunch of tyranid that if I enjoy 40k I'll try to trade for another army)

I'd love everyone's thoughts on this

All he's got is a ccw, so he won't be good in melee, and then a relic storm bolter which won't do him much good. I'd use the points to get transports (if you have any in your collection) or maybe a dreadnought for some armour.
