Plus they are WS5 and Str9 on the charge pretty much destroying everything they touch.<br /> Then we have the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSU</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> squads that can also deal out a boat load of attacks and wounds, also Initiative 5. The Devastators have Flakk, because I expect a couple of flyers from my brother, he likes them.<br /> I feel this is a well rounded list, has some good Anti tank in the form of the Devastators/Stormraven and Assault Squads. It also has some decent anti air from the stormraven and devastators. Thirdly I think it can do quite well against hordes with the Fragioso, Missile Launchers, Though I might have overdone the Melta spam.<br /> Give me your thoughts!<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

With that being said I would run Cassor the damned with the stormraven that way you get to assault after dropping him off.<br /> <br /> Deffrekka Cassor the Damned is a Death company dreadnought that can be take as a troop choice, I think he gets some added bonuses but I can't remember off the top of my head.    <br /> <br /> If you want to drop the Stormraven then I would agree with taking some Baal Predators since they are good tanks with the inferno engine I believe it is called.<br /> <br /> But why do you want to take Raphens Death comapny squad?  If you really want to run death company I believe there is a formation in the Shield of Baal which is all death company. In my experience the Assault Terminators need a transport, otherwise they just get kited all game long and the Stormraven was the cheapest option to do so. I'm not sure tho, I could swap em for like a scout squad and free up some points for somewhere else. <br /> <br /> Baal Predators could work for horde control, i'll tinker around with it.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ -Raphen's <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> is an inefficiently loaded out squad.  It's cheaper to take both another "efficient" 140 point jump <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> (5 men, 1 fist) and replace the troop slot with outflanking scouts than it is to bring Raphen and his wargear-crazy buddies.  Granted you're maxed on elite slots, but you could always take something else.<br /> <br /> -give the ASM sarges in pods either combi meltas or double inferno.  Just taking 1 seems wasteful.<br /> <br /> -I actually approve of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>th</span>-<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> termies in stormravens.  It's nice that even in a crash, 1 of them won't be wounded and 2/3 of the rest will live.  I know <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>fnp</span> is nice on them, but the risk of a crash instagibbing both of your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>'s is heart-stopping.  I'd probably go for putting the Libby in termie armor and giving him a shield too.  It'd be nice if you could take a priest in termie armor, but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> decided to omit that option in this codex...the jerks.<br /> <br /> -assault cannon over lascannon on the Raven.  You can look up the math elsewhere, but long story short, the asc is just better.<br /> <br /> -Cassor goes better in a Raven than a pod.  He doesn't like stepping out, firing a single melta shot, and then getting shot back.  Bonus in that it saves 35 points and gives you another <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(35);'>FA</span> slot.  More meltacide ASM?<br /> <br /> -Not wild about only having 15-20 no-transport marines out at deployment (assuming they go first.)  Seems like unnecessary sacrifice giving the enemy something to shoot at while you wait for your army.  With pods you have turn 1 board presence, therefore being able to null deploy, and making some changes you could fill a troop slot with a podded heavy flamer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad just to get more bodies out so you don't get tabled going first.  After that, you just need to roll hot on reserves...<br /> <br /> -...reserve rolls!  The cantankerous little things.  With an asset like that Raven, you need rerollable reserves.  Dante's <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>wl</span> trait would let you reroll the Raven and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> if they deep strike, as well as reduce their scatter.  Karlaen would give rerolls all around, or you could take veritas vitae and roll 2 strategic traits hoping to get reroll reserves off of it.  Lastly, thar be some out of codex options like Damocles rhino and the fortification comms array.  I highly recommend doing one of those.  I'm a fan of the Dante choice, as he can come in shielded by <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>, then split off and wreck things by himself.<br /> <br /> That's all I got.]]></description>

I also wasn't sure as to how people play <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSU</span>. My plan was to move them up the field while the drop pods come down and force my opponent to deal with 2 dreads or melta squads before even thinking of getting red of my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> squads. I didn't think about Deep striking them, as i'm not really a fan of Deep Strinking and reserving overall. I wanted to minimize the amound of guys I had in reserve. <br /> <br /> Secondly, initially I had the loadout you speak of on my Librarian but then I noticed my transport capacity would be at 13 and the SR can only hold 12, so should I drop the Priest altogether? The other squads don't really benefit from him that much because they already have <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span>. <br /> Maybe a second librarian to go with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah I'd drop the priest from the Raven squad to do termie Libby.<br /> <br /> The issue with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> on board and a non-re-rollable Raven reserve roll is that your army will likely be split into multiple main waves, making it overall weaker.  Ideally, an attacking army wants to be a single main wave with 0-2 support waves, those being early game important-target-suiciders or cheap late game objective grabbers.<br /> <br /> So taking the Raven makes your main wave essentially "the turn the Raven comes in."  So you want to match up that timing with everything except the suiciders.  I'm not sure if you've tried him, but Dante is actually good, and descent of angels works really well for getting reliable deep strikes and reliable reserve rolls.  When you're trying to match up to a turn 2 wave, there isn't a lot that's better.]]></description>

I'm still not crazy about the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>dev</span> squad when they could be a third meltacide ASM squad instead, giving you 3 pods turn 1, but that's really the only thing I would personally change.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I agree, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>devs</span> without Flakk would be kind of meh in this list, so I am going to scratch them. I know getting an extra assault squad would probably be the wise thing to do, but I'm not that much of a fan of the super spammy lists. <br /> <br /> I also agree with having only one librarian can be iffy, so i'm thinking of replacing the devastator squad with a M2 Libby with the Angel's Wing and an auspex to go with Dante's squad and give me acces to the Sanguine powers or Electro-something from the new book. The Angel's Wing will allow the Dante Squad's Deep Strike to be incredibly precise, and protect them from interceptor (my brother's main army is Tau).<br /> <br /> Alternatively for the same price I could take the Chaplain with Angel's Wing and Auspex (I just love that new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span> Chaplain model). <br /> <br /> Lastly, Cassor indeed goes into the Stormraven now! Thoughts?]]></description>
