Assault cannons are about the easiest thing to kitbash together. In ky gladius i run 5 assault cannons and 7 las plas. I have seen where people cut the barrel of a Lascannon off and glue two Plasmaguns in its place. I bought spare Land Raider Crusader turrets from a bitz store on Ebay. The hardest thing to do will be finding plasma guns that are right for the job. I personally used plasma talons from blackknight bikers.
