Your draft has great purpose, but isnt exactly optimized for the strengths of Khorne Daemomkin. Here are a few minor tweaks which would significantly improve your list:<br /> <br /> 1: Blood Host Detachment! You have a Core (Slaughtercult), a Command (Insensate Bloodthirster), and an Auxiliary (Gorepack). The extra Blood Tithe per turn is a HUGE benefit!<br /> <br /> 2: Reread your rulebook. Anytime one of your characters is removed from play, you get 1 Blood Tithe!  Upgrade those Bloodletter squads with a Bloodreaper.<br /> <br /> 3: Find the points for 2 Cultists and 2 Spawn in your Slaughtercult. They are cheap, easy ways to get Blood Tithe boosts, and you will need it to deal with the stuff ITC lists will throw at you.<br /> <br /> I do not believe you have a chance against a Space Marine Gladius without Heldrakes.  Riptide Wing with Stormsurges will also tear through this list. It is very challanging to manage 20 dogs on the table. It is a massive foot print. I find <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> are best with MIN units. Possessed can't deep strike and 150 points for a tax is a decent unit that can harm someone who isn't careful. The key is getting them there hence the rhino and extra blood tithe from said rhino. Just my opinion and food for thought. With all your other fast units getting line breaker shouldn't be too hard (plus you can always summon in additional units with your tithes). I'd look at taking spawn over the third bloodletter unit in your slaughter cult]]></description>

That is swell. It is a pretty huge boon in most games. And you are right, Characters have to slay or be slain in a challenge if they are to award Blood Tithe.<br /> <br /> I would drop a couple dogs and take the spawn. Why? Because each one is a potential new Blood Tithe point. So even though dogs are better than spawn per point, having another unit is better than not. And yes, it is totally worth dropping a unit of Bloodletters to take cultists instead. To use the really good Blood Tithe abilities, such as summoning a Daemon Prince or a Bloodthirster, you need fodder to sacrifice to the dark gods that isn't a Daemon. When taken in a slaughtercult, you can also choose to remove them for the Blood Tithe point when they fail morale, which is handy.<br /> <br /> Your lord is definitely killy. But I propose a different solution. You could save yourself a lot of points if you made him a martyr. Drop the fist and the claws, take the sigil down to an aura, and give him the Axe of Ruin instead of the fancy armor. That way, when he dies in combat, you get a Bloodthirster that pops out of his corpse like a jack-in-the-box. According to the new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQs</span>, you get to choose the type as well! The axe itself isn't bad either... it's AP2 that strikes at initiative and causes Instant Death on 6's.<br /> <br /> Just my 2 cents, your list does look pretty solid as-is and you probably would do just about as well as you can expect <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> to do these days! So, not good, I've been playing Possessed wrong for a while. Right now I'm debating between additional Chaos Spawn and a Rhino - both are Blood Tithe bait but the Rhino has the synergy with helping the Possessed out. One one hand I want to bring units that are strong in the first couple of turns and can challenge maelstrom objectives. If I bring weaker units (I only own one Chaos Spawn at the moment so I'll have to buy another if I go this route) that are there for blood tithe, they die early to ... summon hounds that I could have brought anyways? I suppose there's lots more versatility with the tithe as I can summon more powerful daemons (although the last two times I've tried summoning Bloodthirsters I've failed a LD9 morale so I'm bitter) and Spawn can move just as fast and tie up some units as well as dogs. <br /> <br /> I like the idea of the axe lord. Unfortunately I'm <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(150);'>WYSIWYG</span> for the claws/fist right now so I'll have to try the axe in a fun game soon. I don't think I can select the type of Bloodthirster, I think that's a psychic summoning thing and not a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> thing, as the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(724);'>KDK</span> summon specifies Unfettered Fury.]]></description>
