				<description><![CDATA[ So I have never had access to Forge World units, but they are becoming popular in my area (specifically Renegades & Heretics and a few Tau units). After looking over some of the unit rules, I want to try out some Hornets and the Inferno Lance WK. The Farseer joins the Shadow Weaver unit and casts Prescience and Guide on the Hornet Squad, the WK, or one of the bike units depending on the need. I'll roll 1 power on Telepathy fishing for Invis or Shrouding, but swap for Shriek if I don't get either.<br /> <br /> The bikes have mixed weapons for 2 reasons. 1) I don't have all my bike modeled with Scatters and 2) I actually like Shuricannons better for theme and purpose, only having 1 Scatter per 3 bike in those units just so that they can be some use if I need to stay in the VSG and outside 24"<br /> <br /> A note on the VSG. I have been using it quite a bit lately and I have found that it forces many opponents to rush closer, which helps get my Shuricannons in range. The other funny thing that has happened a few times is my opponent gets within the shield range and I (being Eldar) move far away, causing me to have to down my own shield to shoot at his units.  This has made me very wary of deploying near objectives so that I can lure enemies into the VSG where no objective are.<br /> <br /> --<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hey there!<br /> <br /> When using Hornets, I would say that 3 is really enough. You have the right idea with taking them in separate squads so the squad of 2 I would just make it one and save some points.<br /> <br /> I am also wondering why it is that you make the bike units have different load-outs in the same squad? <br /> <br /> Also, instead of a Night Spinner, perhaps you should take a look at Warpp Hunters. <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look a the Warp Hunter, but why did you mention Night Spinner? If you are referring to the Shadow Weavers, they are in the list to have a cheap durable unit for my Farseer to join.<br /> <br /> The mixed load out on the bikes is an experiment of mine.  I love shuricannons overall, but have found that units with just shuricannons often miss out on range.  Having 1 Scatter laser in the unit keeps them useful in the early turns, while still giving me the Bladestorm goodness of the shuricannons once things inevitably get closer.<br /> So far it is working out fairly nice. I run theme in a "V" formation with the shuricannons up front and just in range of the unit I am firing on. The Scatter laser model at the rear is at max coherency and fires last.<br /> <br /> In Tournies, I always go full Scatter lasers if just for simplicity's sake.<br /> <br /> I think the only reason I am fielding 4 Hornets is because I will be testing this out using my 4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> Venoms as the Hornets. I am OCD about using all 4 models I own at once. All or none.<br /> Plus, having 1 units of 2 can maximize Guide or Prescience.<br /> <br /> Overall though, what do you think is better: 4 Hornets as I have them listed above? Or 3 separate Hornets with Holofileds?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sorry that is true, I had a brain malfunction when mentioning Night Spinner haha. <br /> <br /> That is an interesting concept with the bikes... but if you do that math and work out the amount of hits you would get if you just used all scatter lasers, considering they are almost always in range, you will do more wounds because of the extra rounds of shooting despite the bladestorm rule. that is my experience anyway.<br /> <br /> I think using the Hornets in different sized units will also give you a good feel for how differently they opperate (what with both jinking or being vulnerable to one squad's firepower instead of 2 units shooting at 2 separate Hornets. It would be good for experiment purposes. <br /> <br /> I would personally go with having the 4 Hornets because putting Holo-Fields on such a cheap vehicle that can just jink doesn't make much sense to me, especially with its low armour value. ]]></description>

The exception is anything with T6+ with a +3 or better Armour save. Shuricannons are marginally better at causing wounds to these targets. I see plenty of Hive Tyrants, Riptides, Mechanicus T7 thingies, Deamon Princes, etc<br /> I guess my love of the Shuricannon is more of a statement about how bad I feel when I play all Scatter lasers. They are brutally efficient.  Having to get closer and having 1 less shot tends to keep more friends, despite the fact that I average close to the same results.<br /> <br /> What do you think of the Skatach WK w/ Inferno lances? The idea is for it to fill the same role as the Wraithcannon WK, but with less of a "win=big, loss-big" syndrome. Plus it seems better equipped to deal with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(308);'>MSU</span> armies. I haven't tested him yet but i did consider the roles of the wraithknight and taking that over the inferno version was difficult. However, ultimately, there are other things in my collection that I want to deal with high armour targets like my Hornets, Warp Hunters, Crimson Death formation etc. So with that in mind, it really depends on the rest of the army. In this build, he works with ether load out. <br /> <br /> I also have the Stock Knight so sometimes I get to run both, but I can see that argument that you dont have any targets for the D-Cannons - but thats a reason why a lot of players take the sword and Board so he can engage those units with power weapons and still survive. <br /> <br /> If you want a lot of high strength, low <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span> weapons, Crimson Hunters, Hornets and Warp Hunters are your 'go to.']]></description>
