I am going to a 1500 point tournament soon. It uses mostly maelstrom missions and kill points is a slight factor throughout.

(I will be using the same tactics more or less, but obviously the gun wagons provide more protection to the tank bustas than the trukks, and by adding meganobz I have more offensive capabilities, there is an argument for each list, so which do you prefer and why?)

FAQ I think that Tankbustas' lack of combat prowess really diminishes them, and therefore I picked List 3. thanks for the feeback, I agree that at the moment they are worse, but in my last 3 games with them they havent even needed to get into combat with anything as they could just shoot it and get the job done that way. I am also hoping that GW give back our melta bombs haha.

in terms of gun wagons, personally I have found the extra armour priceless, and especially for meganobz, it is VERY important, otherwise you will be foot slogging the whole game 6" a turn because they shot their paper car haha, and with the bully boyz, it becomes even more important because you dont want such a costly unit being left behind.

Also the only reason I break off min squads of bikers is as objective grabbers and sometimes I find 15+ bike units big and unwieldly. However with skilled rider and painboy even assault grenades from zhardsnark that bike star bikes are just better. That's my fast assault unit with 2x klaws and painboy.

Your list 4 will do well play it and you can tweak it a few times as you go.
Also an easy and huge bump for this list to make it an 1850 list is a knight renegade warden for 375pts. i may find the bike squad too unwieldy as you say, in which case ill reduce it and see if i can have a list more similar to yours, Ill post on here after a practice game im having in a couple of games and let yall know how it went

But I love tankbustas. They are usually the mvp of my games and with that S8 AP3 tank hunter, can really get the job done.
