What Should I use as the Base CAD for my "Imperial Allies" Army?

Okay guys, I've already got the following armies:
Imperial Fists (Successor)
Chaos Marines (Slaanesh)
Khorne Demonkin
Blood Angels

So I figured I'd switch it up and do a mix and match army for my next build centered around one of each of the Assassins and an IK (2 in bigger games) with Ad Mech as allies to the Center Piece CAD. Now since I want this to be a strictly Imperial army (coming off a long heretical kick) my options are a tad limited.

I want an army that can either pull the armies weight in kicking booty in CC, or a cheap army that spits out hellacious firepower. If I go with the latter, my Knights, Eversor and Callidus will do the chopping. Problem is I'm having one hell of a time deciding which route to go.

So I've got 2 questions Sisters and GentleNids.
1.) Which of the armies in the poll would you most like to be the centerpiece of the army, if you were my opponent standing across the table from it?

2.) Which of the armies do you think can serve one of the described functions in a manner that would take it the closest to being a viable army in a competitive setting?

Thx in advance people.

-Baals

Guard or Scions. With what you've got already (Ad Mech, Assassins, IK), I think Guard or Scions are the perfect army to fit your Imperial army theme.

The only problems with IG or Scions are Psychic phase and CC. I mean I've got an eversor, but just one and unless I run a huge platoon (and somehow find a way to make it stubborn or fearless ) any serious CC army (Gorepack KDK, some chaos lists, demons, Furries etc) are gonna run me over like a deuce and 1/2.

I voted flesh tearers, primarily to satisfy the CC side you want. By taking them you get access to the BA codex, meaning Death company / Sanguinary Guard / Dreads/ dozens of assault marines , but at the same time access to Storm Ravens / devastators etc for the shooting.

Can really go either way, though CC by far the strongest.

As a previous CSM Player, I learnt fast when facing my regular BA opponent to kill the Sanguinary Guard reeaaalll fast or ignore them and watch them flank and shred my innocent (lol) marines.
