There are a few approaches:
1) Pin them instead of magnetizing. My experience is that the Plastic Hive Tyrant Kit doesn't work the best for this, but it could be done if done carefully. You would want 2 Pins to prevent it from rotating on the pins.
2) Pin AND Magnetize. This is a really good approach. The pin provides the strength and stability and the magnet keeps the pin from rotating or falling out. You need a fairly hefty magnet for something as big as Hive Tyrant Wings.
3) Magnetize it with 2 Magnets. I find this work really, really well for the plastic Hive Tyrant Kit. You need Very strong magnets to pull it off, and you will need to attach wargear to the wings instead of the torso, so that the wings can use both arm slots for the magnets.

A word about using a double connection point:
The reason you use 2 points of connection is to prevent rotation. You will want to keep the points of connection as far apart a possible while keeping them in a area that will be covered by what you are magnetizing.
For the plastic Hive Tyrant Kit, I like to magnetize in the torso where the arms attach, and put a magnet at each attachment point. If you do this, then you attach one piece of wargear permanently to the wing, and use the wing connection point, and the connection point for that piece of wargear as your two spots for magnets.

A Word about Magnet selection:
Magnets have a strength rating. It is something like N35 (weak) all the way up to N52+ (Strong). For something big like this I recommend an N50 or N52 Magnet.
Magnets come in various shapes. If you are drilling in a magnet, I recommend a Disc Shape.
Magnets come in various sizes. The appropriate size for a hive tyrant wings is about 5MM diameter discs. I prefer Thicker Magnets when possible. 2-3 MM Thick.
Magnets can be purchase from your local game store, or you can buy them cheaply on Ebay.

A note about pinning things like wings:
Often when you pin you can get away with something small like a paper clip. In the case of something that requires a good amount of strength you will need to get something like little brass rods. These are often sold by hobby stores for exactly this purpose.

Either way, once the connections are done you want to greenstuff gaps to provide extra stability. A little preamble. I bought this Tyrant used off of ebay, and the wings were plastic welded on, so I had to cut them off in order to magnetize them which is why the angle of the magnets is weird. The original owner was also the one that made the double devourers that I used. The Magnets I used were N52 5mm x 2mm disc magnets that I bought off of ebay.

If you are using Green Stuff Proper, you can peel it off with a hobby knife.

If you are using a different type of green stuff that hardens more, then it tends to be really hard but really brittle, and crushing or smashing it will help break it away.
