[1500] - Iybraesil - Casually Competitive Banshees

I've been building up my craftworld Iybraesil forces for a while now, but I keep going back and forth on how to get the most out of them. I want this to be a relatively casual list than my competitive forces with an emphasis on staying true to the Iybraesil flavor. That said, Iybraesil is big on Banshees, and Banshees are one of the few lackluster units in our codex. I don't want this force to be especially competitive, but losing over and over isn't much fun either. So with that in mind, I'm trying to figure out how to balance out the problematic nature of banshees with somewhat more potent options. Here are a couple lists I've tossed together. Can I get you guys to share your thoughts on how to reach a reasonable power level for casual games?

THE CAD APPROACH 1850
HQ
-Autarch with fire saber, hawk wings, banshee mask, and fusion gun.
-Farseer (walks with wraith blades)

ELITES
-5 dragons (ride in the falcon)
-5 Wraith blades probably with axes.
-5 Wraith guard with wraith cannons.

TROOPS
-5 Rangers
-5 Rangers

FAST ATTACK
-5 hawks including an exarch with power maul and hawk's talon.

HEAVY SUPPORT
-5 Reapers including an exarch, all with starshot missiles.
-1 Falcon with scatter laser and shuriken cannon
-3 War Walkers with a scatter laser and bright lance each.

LORD OF WAR
-The Avatar of Khaine

ASPECT HOST
-2 squads of 5 banshees with executioner exarchs
-1 squad of 3 shining spears with a star lance exarch

The idea here is to send the dragons and wraith guard forward up the middle to bust tanks. People are afraid of them, so they'll probably draw fire and hopefully kill some critical targets while they're at it. The shining spears will boost into the back lines mostly to make my opponent sweat. The autarch and hawks can bully backfield squishy units in melee or go tank hunting as needed. The reapers and walkers will hang back and try to cripple the biggest threats from afar. Rangers are there to be cheap and survivable objective holders. The banshees and Avatar will try not to draw too much fire, then deliver the second-wave punch after my opponent (hopefully) commits some juicy targets to taking out the wraith guard and dragons. The Avatar features in both lists because he's surprisingly fun to use and because his melee buffs really go a long way towards making banshees, wraith blades, and (in this case) shining spears better at what they do. If my opponent wastes shots killing the avatar or the banshees, they've been ignoring my more serious units. The autarchs in both lists have relic weapons both because they fit Iybraesil fluff, and because they become rather good bully units when within the avatar's aura.

THE WARHOST APPOACH 1500
PALE COURT (CORE)
-Farseer
-3 squads of 10 guardians with scatter lasers. One has a warlock.
-Note: I almost went for an Aspect Lord Shrine featuring Banshees. It would be very fluffy for Iybraesil. However, I felt that the banshees really needed the boost from the aspect host to be effective. I also considered switching the Farseer for an Autarch to get rerolls to hit in melee, but then I'd have no easy way of fitting a Farseer back into the list elsewhere. I felt that the Farseer's buffs were important to the banshees and other units.

ASPECT HOST (AUX)
-2 squads of banshees with executioner exarchs
-1 squad of swooping hawks with a power maul and hawk's talon; same job as the hawks and autarch from the first list.

WASP PHALANX (AUX)
-3 single wasps with a scatter laser and bright lance. These deepstrike in the enemies back field to make him nervous and take pot shots while benefitting from their formation.

HEROES OF THE CRAFTWORLDS (COMMAND)
-Autarch with shard of anaris, hawk wings, banshee mask, and fusion gun

LIVING LEGENDS (COMMAND)
-Jain Zar
-Avatar of Khaine

This list has less ranged dakka to fall back on, but 24 strength six shots mixed with 3 bright lance shots, and the occassional haywire/fusion gun attack isn't too shabby for 1500 points. The average banshee squad will be moving 15" a turn in this list with Jain's squad moving 18". The avatar moves almost as fast as a gliding MC with 12" movement a turn, meaning it's much easier to hide him as he moves up the battlefield, and he should reach melee much faster. Basically, this list gets the most out of the Banshees' speed, plus it gives me room to take both Jain and the Farseer along my (painted and modeled for Iybraesil) autarch. The hope is that the farseer and avatar will buff things sufficiently to make them hit hard once combat happens.

Note that this list is 350 points less than the other, so I would probably add more ranged firepower to it if I were to bump it up to 1850.

If I wanted to do a really fluff Iybraesil list, I feel like I'd do a pale court with three banshee squads and then back those up with my Iybraesil-paint-scheme wraith lords and wraith blades, but I worry that's just a few too many non-competitive melee units to really do well in even a casual game. Thoughts?
