I'm trying to optimise a pure Astra Militarum list as far as I can. The missions I play are typically ITC variants, with a mixture of maesltrom and eternal war objectives and tertiary objectives all in one pack.

I've worked out the following:

Pask - Punisher MM + LC, (240)
Leman Russ Exterminator (Not an executioner due to the FAQ now allowing re-rolled gets hots) (130)

Ratlings - x3 (30) (For camping an objective cheaply)

Vendetta (170)
Vendetta (170)
Vendetta (170) (Should take care of anti flyer, anti MC, and plenty of anti-tank)

Wyvern (65)
Wyvern (65)
Wyvern (65) (Should hopefully wipe most static non mech infantry off the board, and do some damage to bikes and jet bikes, even more effective with the FAQ about both blasts being twin-linked)

Veterans - 2 plasma, 1 melta (Chimera - ML +HF) (165)
Veterans - 2 plasma, 1 melta (Chimera - ML +HF) (165) (1 melta in case of close enemy armour, and to have at least one weapon that won't get my guys killed)

Infantry PLatoon
-PCS - HF (40) - Mounted in one of the vendettas to drop in the enemy's back field for linebreaker or to take a cleared objective or whatever suitable opportunity arises)
Infantry squad - autocannon (60)
Infantry squad - autocannon (60)
Infantry squad - autocannon (60) (These blob up and hold the backfield as best they can)
Commissar (To keep the infantry squads in line and obeying orders)

CCS - 3 plasma, Chimera - ML +HF (170) - (these camp in the backfield with the platoon, giving them orders with an obscured chimera.They effectively take the order giving role of the PCS which rides in the vendetta)

Ideally I'd have liked to have included grenade launchers and a primaris psyker for twin linking, but that's 1850 on the dot. Does anyone have any input to make the list more competitive? (I know Astra Militarum really aren't all that hot on their own, but I'd rather take no allies)

Because of that, it doesn't have Skyfire. Sorry, this is the first I hear of the Vendetta not having skyfire. Is this from death from the skies?
