As to whether Space Marines bring their own armour to the Deathwatch, in the 40k era few suits of power armour are all a single pattern. They tend to mix and match components as available and as necessary; the Deathwatch is going to have more access to newer and fancier kit like MkVIII power armour, so they gave you a box of mostly that expecting at least some mixing and matching to go on. Some of the components in that kit might have been acquired there as replacements, some might have been brought from home, who knows?
