Nicely done! I personally run the shadowseers in the troupes instead of the death jesters.

I noticed you were very wary with your shadowseers, they have fleshbane and armorbane. Why did they run from the warwalker and have trouble with the jetbikes?

They have fleshbane, and +2 str... not armourbane. I also give them haywires for the odd anti tank duty at range.

I love the hallucinogen grenade launcher on the seers... one of the best pieces of gear ever, like the old horror fex the dark eldar used to have on ther tanks... that caused pinning at -1 leadership per model in the unit hit.

Harlequins vs Eldar - Battle Report - Maelstrom of War

in the beginning of your tactical corner, you note "eldar are among the hardest matchups the harlequins can have."

I disagree. Of all the competitive armies I have faced, the competitive eldar lists have actually been the least threatening. Harlequins have amongst the best options for dealing with Wraithknights, Warp Spiders, and for killing Scatterbike units easily.

It does depend on the list, and if the Eldar player brings things you don't normally see in the super bleeding-edge competitive lists, the Harlequins can get into serious trouble. Dire Avengers, Wave Serpents, D-scythe wraithguard and Swooping hawks can be a serious sticking point for the clowns, but if you're facing the bog-standard wraithknight+scatbikes+warp spider aspect host competitive list, you've got a number of advantages going in. So long as you use the death jesters and shuriken cannons to focus fire on the scatbikes before they can take huge chunks out of your army, you should be in a pretty good spot.

Comparing that matchup to something really difficult, like a space marine gladius, Eldar are an easier nut to crack.

I thought you did pretty good in your game, given the unusually tough matchup with the serpents and DAs. One thing that's definitely on my list to try soon is the combination of the Death masque jester with the Death Masque blades of fate, for an easy 2+ rerollable jink that you can slot right into a masque or revenge formation. It does limit mobility, but I think it has potential as a means to easily tank problematic overwatch like those scatterbikes you just faced, if the jester hops out with a troupe, attaches to the bikes, declares that first charge to take the overwatch and engage, then the troupe follows in.

@The_Scotsman : I appreciate your assessment. What you say is very valid... against small jetbike units and the like the shrieks from the shadow seers really do a number on them. I was mostly worried about the wave serpents ignore cover shields...
I am surprised he did not outflank his war walkers as I feel they would have given him an advantage late game. And there was the second or third turn where rather than shoot at me, he could have boosted all his units to a new side of the table and made it very hard for me to get to him on foot, once he had blasted all my transports.
