I bought a couple of boxes, built my team, and then realised how much stuff was "extra bits". I proceeded to look for bodies legs and whatnot in ebay - I was lucky.

I paint the tempestus white and black, like Imperial Stormtroopers. Yes, the other empire. I found other bits on ebay and I am planning to build an AT-AT "count as knight". I am sure about 4 knight legs and a land speeder, with taurox pilots, not sure bout the rest. Maybe I will start a topic on the appropriate forum (I have to find the right "body").

Could something like this work for low point games?

HQ: tempestus command squad.
Lord Dark Helmet (Tempestor Prime), Power Weapon (can be removed, but will be painted. The guy has a cloak and is painted black)
4 Stormtroopers with Plasma

AT-AT (Knight crusader)
Battle cannon, anti-flyer gun and that 36" BRRRRRRRRRT gun.

Is around 1000 points. The AT-AT stays on the ground, the troopers deepstrike where it hurts.

I post here because I am a bit lost with MT and Knights in general. What are the main issues? Are MT too fragile? Is an IK too much of a dick move in 1000 pts? Can the two things balance in a fun Empire Strikes Back list? I can increase troops, equip a couple of sarges, and increase squad size to reach 1500.

In that regard, to lower model count, I was thinking about adding an assassin. Do you have suggestions? Maybe a Vindicare?
