The first mission of the tournament is dawn of war kill points and I have 17. 				<description><![CDATA[ From my experience, you need at least 4 Troops.  3 Scat packs can easily be dealt with.  You also don't have a good spot for the Autarch. He wants to get close to use that Fusion, but he is on a bike, so he can't join the Hawks or Spiders (technically he can, but he would limit those units' special move abilities since both must include all model having Wings or Flickerjump respectively). If you really want to keep the Autarch, give him wings instead and join the Hawks.<br /> It would also be more useful to have a Farseer to twin-link a few units or attempt 1 roll on Telepathy fishing for Invis or Shrouding, but taking Shriek otherwise.<br /> I get that you are going for a Reserve list, but the Farseer will give you way more utility.  Since you have 3 Hunters, you are quite likely to get some in early even without the Autarch<br /> <br /> Personally, I would drop the Hawks altogether and use their points for another Scatterbike unit and swap the Autarch for a Jetseer.  Hide the Seer in one of the D platform units and buff units.<br /> If you are worried about having too many kill points, I would merge 2 of the single D-platforms into 1 unit and this be the unit the Seer joins. it will give him 8 T7 wounds to hide behind and when threats get close, he can simply hop into a nearby Scatterbike unit and zoom away. You thereby have less <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KPs</span> and make is rather difficult for your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span> to be slain.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I really appreciate the response! I like the hawks though! <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span><br /> <br /> I know I know...<br /> <br /> Their haywires are pretty sick however and with an 18 inch move they are deadly to low hull point imperial knights etc.<br /> <br /> I can see the value of the scatter pack though over them. I do like them as late game objective holders too. Jump into reserves and land last turn with no scatter right on the objective!<br /> <br /> I will point it.<br /> <br /> <br /> I have an autarch with wings so I could swap that easily.<br /> <br /> I like the farseer too but feel like its hard to hide him as well. I just feel like the bata strike turn 2 when like 8 units reach the board is pretty solid. 				<description><![CDATA[ You need the Autarch for reserve manipulation, especially with the Spiders/ Hawks/ Crimson Death (that's potentially 861 points in reserve! I wouldn't risk that on a 3+). I'd give him wings and a fusion gun with the hawks for non scatter deep strike plus melta goodness. I don't like the short ranged nature of the D platforms and would rather have 2 more units of Windrider Scatpacks, I maybe in the minority here but if you want D, I'd invest in warp hunters...  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm not sure you really need the D platforms. You have a WK, a unit of Hornets and 3 Hunters, plus the Hawks for the short time ITC choses to ignore official <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> ruling (yes, I know it is just a draft, but it is still more "official" than ITC).  Add all the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 6 for light <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> hunting and I think you have more than enough anti-<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> overall.<br /> <br /> What you are missing is anti-horde, or at the very least you're anti-infantry can be dealt with.<br /> Why not trade all 3 D-platforms for 1 unit of 2 Shadow Weavers and another Scatterbike unit.  This will lower your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KPs</span> by 1, get you another ObSec units and add more Str6 spam.  I have had plenty of success with just 1 unit of 2 Weavers.  They never fail to get their points worth and are a great distraction. As they will be the slowest unit in the army, you can use them as a lure to bring <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> units into the kill zone.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The Hawks give him Precision Deepstrike for his Melta, plus the Autarch doesn't have Flickerjump, so the Spiders will lose that if he joins them. So yeah, he's much better off in the Hawks.<br /> Remember that the Hawks do not have to start in Reserve. You can deploy them turn 1 and Skyleap, then automatically come in turn 2.<br /> <br /> I think with all the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 8 you have, Hound spam will not be a concern for you. Add that 4th unit of Scatterbikes and you definitely won't have any issues.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ok so final results.<br /> <br /> We ended up with 14 players, lower than our normal turnout.<br /> <br /> Round 1 was verse khorne demonkin with a renegade knight. It was dawn of war deployment and he was going first. Until I seized... Needless to say it was a massacre. He was tabled by end of 5. Max points.<br /> <br /> Round 2 was very Iron Hands cad. Smash commander with command squad, 3 sicarans, fire raptor, scouts in storms. It was diagonal deployment he won die roll. Chose for me to go first as I had most of my forces in reserves. I avoided his grav with the knight and we had a tough game. Sicarans are beast! I did win but only with 23 of 30 points (our local system) Ugg. If it went to turn 7 guaranteed victory but we drew the primary objective so not much I could do.<br /> <br /> Round 3 was verse marines with tempestus allies. He was 2-0 Hmmm. It was 6 objectives dawn of war. He won the roll to go first but I seized AGAIN! <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span> Unreal.<br /> <br /> He was beat on. He had a raptor wing with speeders on the board and storms with scouts. some razor backs and a taurox. He had the talons etc obviously in reserves as well as grav cents. My scatter bikes ravaged his speeders. The grav cents came in and he split fired ruining the hornets and doing 3 wounds to the wraithknight. But due to his scatter it allowed the knight to charge them and they were murdered. max points.<br /> <br /> I went 83 of 90 on the day and netted 2nd place. The guy who won played spacewolf wolfen/thunder star with a skyhammer. God I wish I could have played that! <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span> <br /> <br /> It was a good day and I appreciate all the help guys!]]></description>

You set them up on a flank where they can be just enough of a nuisance, be just close enough to hide your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span> in the unit and jet him out when <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> Deathstars get near.  You bait in those big <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> units that should blow right through the batteries, and now the rest of your army should be far enough away that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> unit can't catch anything else for the rest of the game.]]></description>

This no go zone of D-eath they create is such a nuisance that the opponent is almost obliged to send a unit to kill them. In cover, and farther away, make them the ideal place to hide my Farseer. Since your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span> is with them and they are tough to kill vs shooting (because of Shroud), it tempts players to need to get closer to them.  Single D-cannons can be killed too easily with shooting<br /> They can also a wider variety of target due to their range, making it easier to pick good targets for them.  D-cannons are such short range that the opponent gets to pick what unit you are allowed to shoot them at.<br /> <br /> But, if you are not using the platforms as an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> bunker, then sure, 2 D-cannons are great choices to create that "death zone".  Just be aware the any unit the charges them will now be close enough to the center of the board that they can charge other units.  The Shadow Weavers can be deployed farther back, so that A) it may take an extra turn for units to charge them, giving you more time to shoot those units & B) if they are farther back, or on an extreme flank, the unit that charges them is now farther away from you (because you've been steadily moving away in anticipation of this very situation)<br /> <br /> So I guess it comes down to taste really.<br /> <br /> -]]></description>
