GK and DW are the hyper-elite of the marines. So that’s probably your best starting point.

The basic marine codex also has a number of formations that are composed of nothing but veterans. If you want to build a slightly more normal/flexible list, you can stick with the basic CAD and use some minimal scout units to fill your troops. They can infiltrate the table, and call down the hammer in the form of DSing terminators and sternguard in pods. I know it’s also often considered a dirty word, but there is always Unbound.

One of these days I want to put together a Seven Samurai list, composed of nothing but SM captains. I don’t think it would do well, but just having 7 marines running around the table would be a blast.
