I have always had a problem with my dice hating me so I always try to find ways to limit the damage my own dice can do to me. Came up with this idea, sorry if similar has been posted in the past. Overlapping spheres of influence from the 12 servo skulls allow the leman russes to be pretty much on target for 2/3rd of the field with redundancy and provide 1d6 scatter - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> which is in most cases a BS4 for 7 5" pie plates. That's a max drift of 2 inches most of the time. The Bane wolves capture objectives and help keep infantry off of the leman russes and vets. The vets are objective holds but more importantly provide anti air with the Flakks. <br /> <br /> discuss]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Keep in mind all it takes is for a unit to come within 6" of the skull to be removed. Very easy to do on someone if you don't have first turn. My army goes first, moves forward and essentially removes majority if not all your skulls.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah, but with three rows covering the midfield to my table edge and from left to right table edges, spaced in either a 3-5-4 or 4-3-5 I think it would have enough overlap and deep enough to provide for 2-3 rounds of very accurate s8 ap3, s7 ap2, and s10 ap1 templates that many units would be reduced enough in strength that when things get to close combat the bane wolves and inquisitor w/vets could maybe stand a chance.<br /> the big vulnerability that i see is deep strikers/drop pod armies, but the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(682);'>AM</span> doesn't have much to counter those list anyway.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ It isn't a common kind of army these days so you could take people by surprise with this, but a fast, aggressive opponent getting turn 1 is going to give you problems if they can close the gap quickly. I suppose that many high strength pie plates that can reasonably hit more than one vehicle at a time are going to stop some transports but if you're facing a bunch of transports who use smoke launchers or jink mid table it only takes a few bad rolls and they're on you. Meanwhile faster units like beasts, bikes, jetbikes could get right into your space and suddenly dropping large blasts is likely to hit yourself as well as them. <br /> <br /> Then again, outside of the top competitive lists every army has weaknesses and opponents that they just don't work well against. So what? Many people you face won't have those tools, and it's not much fun compromising the fluffy concept list you have in mind just in case you face a hard counter. <br /> <br /> I'd say if you do decide to make compromises go with options that give you tactical flexibility. It's good to be able to lose a game and know you can play what you have a different way next time and stand a better chance of winning. I have no idea what that would be with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> but it would be fun to have the entire enemy army rush towards your half of the table only to have a few outflanking sentinels appear in their backfield and start shooting them from their own side of the board while holding their objectives]]></description>
