Welcome to my Word Bearers blog, where I will be (fairly) regularly updating my WIP Word Bearers army, at the moment I have about 1500-2000 points of heretical bliss that is either built or under construction. This will mostly be a painting blog and I will simply post various stages of progress.

If anyone is ever curious as to how I did anything, freely ask, hell toss in your own Word Bearers if you want, I wouldn't mind seeing them.

My Cult is ultimately a horde formed from the Chaos Space Marines and Khorne Daemonkin Codex's.

First up: My Chaos Lord. I should note that I got the idea for this conversion online. Made a few differences here and there to fit my needs, but I love the skull helm, bringing up the feel of a corrupt Chaplain, even if Dark Apostles were before the skull mask, whatever.





Fully Complete:





Close up on the bases





Bases are based on martian-type soil. Got the inspiration from the Word Bearers omnibus where they fight on a desert-style planet of salt fields. I added some white highlight to instill the effect of said salt-fields.

Chaos Sorcerer



Converted Chaos Sorcerer, used some bits from the Warriors of Chaos from WHFB (rip).

Chaos Havocs



These fellows are based and washed, I have to go back over them with another layer on Khorne, then add the details. This will be the next squad I finish.





Bloodletters!!!
Wish I could find more photos before they were finished, but here are my Bloodletters of Khorne, and my early 500 point list in a small battle.

I like your marines, they look really good for the traitors they are. perhaps they'd look better under my Imperial Fists' boots

prime the model black, base him Khorne red, wash the model with nuln oil, layer with Khorne red (leaving the extremities with the wash), and highlight with squig orange (it's a bit more dull, so doesn't ruin the dark red tone).

So I've been working on my Havocs tonight, finished two of the 5, going to finish the rest of the Squad during the upcoming week.
