About this project

Welcome to Black Gate Miniatures' range of 10mm Fantasy Ogres for the upcoming Kings of the North Miniatures Game.

Ogre Warriors will be the very first unit produced for Kings of the North Miniatures Game, consisting of 9 individually sculpted models and supplied in units containing 9 figures. They are cast from Lead-free Pewter and scaled at 10mm, in real life they measure 18mm from the base to the eye.

All I need is a £1000 to cover the remaining sculpting and production costs in order to bring these bad boys to life. Should this Kickstarter exceed £11,000 then I will be able to release a complete Ogre army with all options available.

Make the Ogre Warriors a reality. 9 individual sculpts with 9 figures per unit.





There are three simple pledge levels:

Ogreling £9 - One unit of Ogre Warriors (or a different unit of your choice subject to stretch goals). In addition you may purchase further units @ £9 per unit and access any add-ons. (Postage charged separately*)

Ogre Warrior £32 - Four units of Ogre Warriors (or a variety of different units of your choice subject to stretch goals). In addition you may purchase further units @ £8 per unit and access any add-ons. (Postage charged separately*)

Ogre Chieftain £60- Eight units of Ogre Warriors (or a variety of different units of your choice subject to stretch goals). In addition you may purchase further units @ £15 per 2 additional units (£7.50 per unit) and access any add-ons. (Postage charged separately*)

More pledge levels may follow subject to how the campaign progresses.

STRETCH GOALS:

Stretch Goal 1: £2,000

Unlocks the mighty Armoured Ogre Warriors. 9 individual sculpts with 9 figures per unit.





Stretch Goal 2 part 1: £3,000

Unlocks the deadly Ogre Cannoneers. 4 individual sculpts with 9 figures per unit.





Stretch Goal 2 part 2: £3,000

Releases this amazing Ogre Chieftain model add-on. Free to all Ogre Chieftain level (or higher) backers.



Stretch Goal 3 part 1: £4,000

Unlocks the massive Mammoth Riders add-on. 3 variant rider sculpts with Mammoth mounts. Available to all pledge levels for £10 per pack. Each pack contains 3 riders plus mounts.

Stretch Goal 3 part 2: £4,000

Unlocks the epic Character Mammoth Rider add-on. 2 variant rider sculpts, (Leader and Shaman) with a Mammoth mount. Available to all pledge levels for £5 per pack. Each pack contains 2 different character riders plus a mount.

More stretch goals will be released as the pledge level rises...

I will look at creating some fun add-ons next. Maybe dice. People seem to love dice.

Anyway, we are halfway through day 3 and I can tell you it is a little tiring running a Kickstarter, I can't believe it is only Wednesday.

So week 1 is in the books and we managed to get to over 150% funded. This mean we are well on the way to getting those Armoured Ogre Warriors unlocked at £2,000.

We have received a lot of positive press from all over the gaming community and that, together with the collective push from our backers, has created a good vibe around the project.

Meanwhile, I have given in to demands for a higher pledge level and created the "King of the North" pledge level. For £90 you will get twelve units and a pair of exclusive Black Gate D6's as a special thank you. They will be in Gemini Black/Red with Gold, for those who know the Chessex range.

Next we have two new Add-Ons, both available now.

Black Gate D6's at £1 each or £10 for twelve in either Ivory or White.
40x20mm basing packs. Laser cut 2mm MDF in packs of 50 for £3.
Finally, I have some exciting stuff planned for later this week including the concept art for the Mammoth Riders from Christian. So keep spreading the word please.

The first is the Greenling level. Pledge £1 or more. For those people who want to help the project succeed but don't want any Ogres themselves.

The second, which is aimed at people using the Kickstarter phone app, and they asked for a bigger basic pledge level. So for them we have the God of War level @ £120. It is identical to the King of the North level but contains sixteen (16) unit instead of 12.

Finally, we are close to the hump in the road that is £2000 and the Armoured Ogre Warrior unlock. When we get past that magical figure, I feel sure we will move on upwards at a faster rate due to the better variety of units on offer and people increasing their pledges.

I am also going to put an add-on price of £3 on the Ogre Chieftain, for people not getting it free on the £60+ pledge but still wanting a one.
