I believe you need more windriders. The dire avengers dont offer anything to you. The hornets are very good but they are very fragile because of the av10 (I also play with 2 but wihout the holo field). in 1500pts you can allready fit a wraithknight easily. I also believe you need more long range weapons, like dark reapers or a falcon squadron.

I like the dire avengers for both anti infantry and for camping an objective, but you`re right, there are certainly better options. I could take them in the Dire Avenger shrine for BS5 and a turn of assault 3.

Hornets are actually AV 11 and offer a total of 8 st 8 shots at 48 inches.

The windriders and wave serpents offer 40 more str 6 shots at 36 inches.

I do have Dark Reapers who offer another 10 shots at 48 inches at BS 5, but I`m limiting their use because they are a large point investment for a small number of bodies.

A falcon squadron doesn`t offer much more firepower for the increased cost.

Your list looks pretty decent as-is. Especially when one of your stated goals is to avoid "being a big ball of cheese”.

You might already be across that line, but that depends a lot on your local meta. If they tend towards the competitive side, you should be OK. But you are hitting a few of the eldar hot buttons. Scatbike spam, spiders, D. Depending how common FW is in your area, the hornets might raise some eyebrows as well.

I think you might be a little light on AV firepower. The Vaul’s is short range, and the hornets are fragile. While S6 spam can glance down a lot of things, against AV13+ it’s going to struggle. I might swap the WS over to brightlances a a start.

If you are including the DAs to camp objectives, I might run the shimmershield on the exarch, rather then the extra gun. You might not be able to get into cover, and the 5++ can help them survive for as long as they need to hold on.

- Both Serpents now have twin-linked bright lances firing at BS 5

- Broke my reapers down into a more MSU approach to take advantage of the exarchs getting additional shots with Star Swarm missiles at BS 6.

- Added a Night Spinner for Anti Infantry and the general utility of mono-filament large blasts

- Shuffled things up to take advantage of the +1 BS offered by a second Aspect Host.

- Removed all D weapons to keep things more friendly.
