				<description><![CDATA[ Hi friends!<br /> <br /> I have a campaign game coming up on Thursday. 1000 points versus a newer tyranid player. 6" deployment zones, 4x4 table.<br /> <br /> 1. I haven't played nids in a while, especially at this level, what would I be facing?<br /> 2. Look over my list and feedback please?<br /> <br /> Pinion-Demi Company, Iron hands tactics<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>-<br /> Captain, bike, tempered helm<br /> Command squad, bikes, 4 plasma, apothecary<br /> <br /> Tactical Squad- 5 w/ bolters<br /> Tactical Squad- 5 w/ bolters<br /> Tactical Squad- 5 w/ bolters<br /> <br /> Assault Squad- 5 w/ Jump Packs<br /> <br /> Devastator Squad- 5 w/ Heavy Bolters<br /> <br /> Scout Bikes- 3 w/ teleport beacon, 2 grenade launchers<br /> <br /> Scout squad- 5 w/ bolters and Landspeeder storm with Heavy Bolter<br /> Scout squad- 5 w/ bolters and Landspeeder storm with Heavy Bolter<br /> <br /> I drop 1 scout squad off near the tacticals and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>devs</span>' for ignores cover, then roam the other ones around with the command squad and scout bike squad. Drop the assault squad near the bikers for some 'help'<br /> <br /> Things I would like in the list:<br /> a power weapon on the captain (i couldn't tell if he came with one)<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Oof. Tough one. Pinion Battle Company doesn't have the best synergy with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(445);'>IH</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span>. Few thoughts if you want to hold steady:<br /> <br /> Captain needs artificer armor, and ideally a power weapon (axe for budget, otherwise fist). Tempered helm is fun but if you're bringing him to defend the command squad I'd rather have him be able to survive than give a re-roll to the plasma. I don't think you can eek out points for Gorgon's chain on this list, but I could be mistaken. I think trading out the tempered helm should give you the points to pick up a fist with a little left over. Can't quite remember. <br /> <br /> Your tactical marines with nothing but bolters are total waste. Get them melta-guns or plasma guns so there's something for them to ignore cover with.<br /> <br /> I'd really not bother dropping in the assault squad, just have them fly around and try to stay out of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span>. They'll likely get the same opportunity to assault timeline wise. <br /> <br /> If you had unit point totals I'd probably give you some more guidance, but I don't have time to back into so I'm trying to "gut feel" the points. <br /> <br /> On the synergy point - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(445);'>IH</span> aren't bad per se, but you're super light on vehicles so you're missing out on the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(681);'>IWND</span> portion for the most part. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So because it is a campaign I'm stuck with Iron Hands. I know others would be better, but oh well!<br /> <br /> What if I just take a chaplain on the bike instead?<br /> <br /> I went tempered helm for the re-rolls for plasma, this will basically be monster hunting. The standard bolter marines will basically just be filler, as a scout squad will be giving ignore's cover to the devastators.<br /> <br /> I figure a few bolters to pick off strays and just generally lay down ap5 fire would be ok.<br /> <br /> I could get the Chain if I drop the teleport homer and the tempered helm.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ In general, grav is going to be better then plasma on the bikes.  Although if facing hordes of small bugs, or other things with crappy armor saves, the plasma is still nice.  But overall, you probably want to swap for a more <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>TAC</span> setup.<br /> <br /> I think the formation might be a little tight for your point limit.  You have very little on-table mobility, and all of your gear is basically concentrated into a few units, where others have nearly nothing.<br /> <br /> I think the assault marines could use a little love.  Vet sarge with a maul, pair of flamers.  Not a fan of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>MLs</span> in general, but they should do OK, especially vs. nids.  Tacs could use some metal boxes.<br /> <br /> The scout biker sarge can’t take an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(516);'>AGL</span>.  Just basic scout bikers can.<br /> <br /> I might cut one of the scout squads to pay for upgrades.  You don’t need 3 in the formation.  Although with 3, what you have here is a gladius with a 10th co. TF.  So instead of parthfinding/ignore cover tricks, you could gain ObSec, doctrines, and the 10th co. scout tricks.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I took plasma because of the bugs, I prefer grav in almost every other scenario.<br /> <br /> I don't expect to move much on a 4x4 table, but thought about fielding a Demi-co instead.<br /> <br /> I may do that depending on how I feel. I could take a demi co, with different upgrades, and maybe an ironclad dread as an honored ancient and then I have a medusa strike force?]]></description>
