Huh. I suspected that was the case. Not necessarily through rape, though, the cult could just bring a purestrain with them to infect people faster if they're that far along. Or just lure people to the broodlord that same way.


Also, while any babies would definitely be hybrids, would any humans a hybrid has sex with be infected just through sex? Like some kind of genetic STD? Maybe sex wouldn't infect the partner per se, but then the baby they made infects the mother from the womb through osmosis. Both regular Genestealers and the Patriarch have a hypnotic gaze that lulls people into doing their bidding, not seeing their baby's as monsters, protecting their new family from harm as best they can, luring more victims into dark alleys so be ambushed by purestrains and 1rst, 2nd, and 3rd generation Hybrids who would not be able to pass for human when doing the deed. It's not so powerful with the purestrains, but it's almost irresistible from a fully formed patriarch.

If your under the mental control/influence of an alien species "Yes" still means "No" and that is still rape.
