Just wanted to boast about finishing the first campaign. 80 turns! Crazy value. Also some really cool missions.

Really enjoyed this game as a very faithful representation of the tabletop on the computer. Contains all the rules for the tabletop as well.

Now starting the second campaign which downloaded for free, hoping for some new fleets at some point.

Tried the online multiplayer as well and it worked fine. Overall a cracking game and outstanding value for money.

One has Imperial Navy, Space Marine and Tyranid ships. All are playable in multiplayer but in the campaign you play as the Navy and Space Marines (though it is a long way in before you start earning Space marine ships, at least 40+ turns, Off the top of my head.)

I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. Finished the first campaign, kinda stalled out on the second (having trouble with a mission)

While there are a lot of turns in the main campaign, a lot of it is the same fight. On the strategic map, when fleets meet, you fight a batle with the points dependent on how many fleets are present (1-3 fleets per side). I know I had my prefered fleets picked out for the levels, and there were only a few different nid fleets, and they are all nids.

Every couple turns however was where the fun really was. You would have one of two special missions. Each had different primary/secondary victory conditions with rewards, depending on the scenario. One type of mission, you had a pre-assigned fleet, the other you got to pick your own, often at much higher point levels then you would in the normal combats.

Rewards would give you upgrades to let you mod your ships.

Considering the cost of the game, I got a ton of fun out of it. And still have content to consume. I’m also quite happy that they released the second campaign for free. A lot of other companies would have charged a couple of bucks for that level of DLC.
